To be honest, we shouldn't take the opinion of former winners seriously, specially those who won before 2011-12.
Things were different then. Not only in terms of tasks, eliminations but also in terms of management.
Ashutosh and Vindu Dara Singh won when Rajesh Kamat was the CEO and Ashwini Yardi was the programming head of Colors channel.
The reality show had different parameters back then. No popular celebrity was willing to join the show. The channel was new and they wanted to establish themselves and had no favourites.
