That scene was good . Both were hesitating.They were feeling odd .Neil for the first time was kind of emotional .He wanted to share his feelings and when Mini stopped him and offered cofee it was kind of gesture that she will be there for him and later he did share his feelings with her. Like you guys discussed they share painful past and it's connecting them emotionally.
