Usually people do hide their real feeling.. But in the case of Sid since no one corrected him or even guided him his mistake he tend to believe people love him for that..

Even in Sana and Rashmi's case whole blame was put in them.. saying Sid ka wo matlab nahi tha ..Rashmi ko aisi ladki bola wo matlab nahi tha..Sana ko pin down kiya wo matlab nahi tha..pushed her to the point of breakdown...uski koi galti nahi thi, Sana loves him like crazy..like he never led her on.

He was sheltered and actually praised for his every mistake

Yes, can understand. It feels that way but the problem is that Sid is a straight person. Everything is black and white for him. If he likes someone, he gives 100 percent and expects the same. And when that does not happen he gets hurt and totally shuts down. He cannot hide his feelings and wants to hurt the other person also that much. That happened with Asim.

Where as people like Sana are more practical. Most of us are. And Sana does not even have the depth of emotions. She is nice and sweet to everyone and even if she loses someone she will adjust and be happy. But Sid does not invest his emotions easily and when invest, it is more than 100 percent. That may be a reason why he is still unmarried. It is not easy to match the depth of his emotions. Everyone keeps a part of it for themselves even in a close relationship to avoid getting hurt. But not Sid and that is the problem. If he finds a girl who loves him as much, then he will even be ready to give his life for her. She will be very lucky. Here he really liked Sana and is now realizing that for her it is a game. She is not the kind of person he thought her to be. And that is really hurting him. And he is dealing with it the best way he knows. By hurting the other person also as much.

@ Bold. Youre absolutely right on that one. As much as I dislike Shukla I feel lots of others are at fault too for not correcting him when its necessary ..for not giving him the right feedback.

Actually I liked him also when show started. I thought he will be the most mature among all. But his Real personality has really really disappointed me. He has some very serious psychological issues 🤪
