Montage of Sanjivini changed...her fans must be super happy... finally a montage of her own😆

I just finished watching NKYBF...If anyone has intentions to watch the show, avoid this post..

I watched it in one go..it is 4 hours long webseries...it was boring and slow paced...they were dragging the show with non-existing story..There was no story other than two friends finally proposing each other in the last episode after goofing around with each other and helping each other when they had undergone breakups or cheating..The lead characters have no depth or better i say the story(non-existing) has no depth.and the characters are one dimensional...

Regarding NM, he looked good in the scenes when he had beard, his acting was okayish in these bearded scenes but these scenes have no depth toh ,these scenes dont leave any impact on you..and bearded NM was only there for 30 % of the show...In Remaining 70% of show,you see clean shaven NM...I came to conclusion that if he is clean shaven means he inevitably turns into Dhinku ..his body language,dialogue delivery everything changes into that of Dhinku ..

In first episode, half of the episode had bearded NM, he was looking good there ,he was acting okayish when he was with beard..second half of the episode had him in clean shaven look..ie., Dhinku mode ...better i say he was in toned down Dhinku mode (little bit less hyper than original Dhinku in Dhinkubaaz)

In second episode, he was full in Dhinku mode with wierd expressions and slang...i think it was supposed to be Punjabi slang idk , but it looked like he was behaving and talking like a girl and giving expressions like that of girl ie., he was unbearable for me with wierd expressions..the content and dialogues of second episode were also gross...i felt like stopped watching the show and had no patience to see his wierd expressions ...upar se content wise second episode put me off ...but i forced myself to continue to see what is in this story and webseries

In third episode, i tried to get used to Dhinku mode...and i was going through motions..3,4,5,6,7,8 episodes were boring as it was getting monotonous ,they were slow paced and dragging,....if i think back, i dont even remember single scenes from these episodes..i mean there were no memorable scenes..felt like filler episodes

In 9 th episode , i remember some scenes like birthday celebration of heroine's mom...that birthday celebration scene was good....

10 episode was good, In first half of 10 th episode, NM did a good job eventhough he was in clean shaven look...Climax has happy ending ..

Anya singh looked good.Regarding her acting, she did a decent job for whatever she was served with characterwise.....but her character is one dimensional and most of the time she is shown talking ...she talks with audience ie., breaking the fourth wall....So my focus was more on her dialogues rather than expressions..In few scenes she looked blank faced without expressions..but overall she was good...she didnt annoy me...

Regarding NM, as he was in clean shaven look in most part of the show he looks awkward, thats always impact his expressions, i dont understand why he can't have beard and moustache in younger version..its not like they were kids in younger version🤔..He was good at few parts..

Regarding Chemistry , their characters were friends through out the show toh, they looked like friends...they dint give any vibe of the couple...There was no depth in the story toh, Chemistry bhi nahi tha..but in their younger version, they looked like friends..In their Older versions toh, bonding looked forced as they are not written well and there were random scenes in their older version.

There were 2 lip locks , didnt leave any impact on me, didnt annoy me as well.First lip lock was random...Second one was at the climax...I already laughed at first one yesterday toh i laughed at second one today..

My rating is 2.8 out of 5..

I wanted to give 2.5 after finished watching 8 episodes .But in last 2 episodes , something was going on and those episodes was not boring...In first half of last episode, NM's acting was good ...So i'm adding 0.3 to 2.5..

I think after the 8 th episode, writer ko yaad aya ki some drama should be shown, so he added parents related issue in the last episode..(*rolling my eyes*)

Each episode felt very long. Whereas in Code-M toh each episode felt short eventhough in both shows, each episode is of same lenth..

There was no cancer track at all...Instead the writer added drug abuse and parent related issue in the last episodes which didnt serve anything to the show other than providing good performance of NM in few of these scenes...

Production values and Cinematography was on point.

Regarding Music, i remember finding one song good if we compared to all the other mess in the show...They used some music piece as Back ground music in some scenes..it was good.

I liked back and forth screenplay...Editing was good...

Positives:

Rich production values,Cinematography, back and forth screen play, Music, NM's performance in last episode..,Anya Singh had good screen presence ..

Negatives:

Script and writing, Few gross dialogues (second episode), NM without beard and his wierd expressions...length of the show ( long...2 hrs story (non-existing story) dragged to 4 hrs) , Lame exes.(the Ex of NM's character , she was quite annoying 🤢, and the casting for her role 🤔)

Was just checking about Anya Singh and found that she has acted in some telugu movie which I heard only now...😆

I fairly expected what you have written based on the reviews from the books and trailers.....as per book reviews there isn't much depth in story or characters....its just an emotional ride/journey of two friends.....but from the reviews of who have read the books and watched the show certain elements with also ending has been changed....also looks like they have open ended it for a probable season 2.....

waise there isn't much in the show/characters that one should stop reading spoilers before watching.....

Kahaan ka open ending ? 😆...In the climax, they say ILU to each other and lip lock...Then he say "we experienced friendship,now we experienced love, why we can't we marry now or we will marry."..She goes "Marriage?" with question mark expression and starts walking...And he goes "i will clean ..i will wash..( he meant doing house chores) ..." ....blah blah...then show ended..😆

Thats true but still i put *spoiler* as my review shouldnt stop ppl from watching 😆...I believe that if anyone want to watch ,its better they avoid reading reviews before bcz it affects watching experience...Atleast to me if i read review before watching anything,it affects my watching experience...isiliye😆... And also the cancer track is not there or not is a spoiler na...😆...I myself expected cancer track based on the book..but there was no such track...😆And also how is NM's acting in the show is a big spoiler 🤣

Just saw this comment....After reading this post, i just went to search "web series indiaforum.com" in google..😆. yep i just realised there is separate section for this in IF..there was thread for code-M too,but there was nothing posted other than few articles 😆..Anyway i moved on from code-M 😆, i realised that no one is interested in watching it 😆...It seems except JW fans and me, no one has watched it 😆

@bold...thats the ending that can be taken in 2 different ways...and I feel thats an option that writers kept open....like if no season 2, then its like she agreed and they got married and happily ever after....if there is a season 2, then its like love is fine but the FL is not ready to get married bcoz of some issue with the institution of marriage for some reason and how ML helps her overcome..blah blah etc....most of the web series these days are like that...they look like closed or ended but writers start with new season....some of the web series end in cross roads like Prime's Family man. Even in BBB2 the ending could be taken as closed or open but there is a scope in story for a season 3.....

It is not a detailed review...I didnt remember anything after watching the show (except my reactions while watching) so i couldn't write detailed review..I wrote what i felt rather than reviewing it..😆

Regarding story i should add more...The friends who were ready to sleep together (ofcourse they didn't) , but anyway they were parted their ways bcz of few reasons ( his drug abuse ) and they meet after few years, then after few random scenes they feel they can't live without each other and they confess each other..

Idk whether there is term " back and forth" screenplay exists ..😆...I meant that ,they show some scene in the present and goes back to flashbacks in every episode...flashback was the main and most part of the show...Each episode has present and flashback, So to differentiate between present and past ,they have shown two versions of them in different avtars ...Anya singh's character had highlights in her hair in younger version,In older version she doesnt has them..thats how it was easy to differentiate between younger and older version as there was possibility to get confused between present and past considering the screenplay was back and forth between present and past in each and every episode..

Regarding open ending, idk i felt like it is happy ending or happily ever after...They didnt leave any cliff hanger in the climax, so i didnt felt like there is second season...Anyway i dont even care or watch second season...First season dekh liya ..woh bhi badi baat hai 😆.I find first 8 episodes boring...last 2 episodes were better ..

Anyway, pls dont go by my review or opinion, you watch it 😆...Ppl have different opinions, what i like ,others may not like it, what i dont like , others may like it 😆...I just saw hashtag #NeverKissyourbestfriend ..ppl are hailing it there 😆...After seeing the caps there, now i remember that oh that scene was there in the show, otherwise i dont remember any scenes from 3,4,5,6,7,8 😆...

Hero talks about Sex often in younger version...😆...Heroine says "I will make love only when i will be in love " ..😆...So it seems Youth show/youth means talking about sex often...😆..At this rate i feel like i'm dadi amma as i dont talk about it on daily basis eventhough i come under youth category (🤣) 😆..I felt gross whenever they talk gross things in the show😆...I felt "yuck" at some scenes 😆...Particularly NM's scenes with his Ex...they were pukeworthy, i felt like puking out🤔😆...
