I can take murder of innocents if

1) it makes sense i.e. ----it serves some logical purpose / murderer is a psycho killer / it's a collateral damage.

2) The murder isn't justified/whitewashed/glamorised by the makers. If the incident is psychotic, portray it as psychotic. Period.

#1 doesn't hold water regarding beyadh.

I can still give benefit of doubt to #2. Let's see for how long.

I absolutely loved this show so until now.

I just can't imagine to continue to watching this show, at least the way I have been obsessing over it, after possibly witnessing Maya killing an innocent man. Maya is one of my favorite characters as she is different from other ITV heroines. They have shown her to be haunted by her past, yet retains her humanity from the experience. This makes the audience such as myself sympathetic towards the character and actually root for her despite not knowing her past.

B1 Maya was expected to shape the way she did as it was preemptively shown that she was unlike others due to her past. She was shown as being unable to connect with other people or their emotions with the exception of Arjun and her mother. Even so, she always kept herself and her obsession for Arjun before anyone else until the end. Her first murder was her father, who was a villainous character making his own daughter's life a living nightmare. She gradually became more manipulative as the show went on to protect herself and her relationship with Arjun.

B2 Maya is a completely different character. She was shown as an individual that is caring and sympathetic towards others that was not responsible for her horrific past. If she ends up committing a murder of another innocent character, she no longer aligns with the identity the writers have spent for 2 months creating. In addition to absolutely terrible writing, I just can't fathom that a strong main character like Maya would just kill someone that did her no wrong like that.

Totally agree!

Sony literally is saying that Rishi's death is Maya:s victory, my question is how? MJ killed her child and the family is still stained with the blood of an innocent, how is this any different?

If we call this a MB war, ok, innocents die, but the first thing in that Pandavas tried to stop the war to avoid the deaths and the collateral damage (sorry for bringing MB up)

Maya's mom was right, she is bending the tirtha to fir her narrative and by doing so, she is just showing that she is becoming MJ.

????
I can't fathom that there are people are glorifying a murder of an innocent man, even if its just a tv show. I wouldn't mind it if the character was shown to be harmful like those annoying male characters in Naagin 4, but Rishi as a character is truly not a bad person.

I hope so...I was sure he was not going to die, but that hope is fading day by day

Makers did glorify Maya's despicable act by saying its her first big victory? When, where and how was the battle fought that we are talking of victory? I cringed at the sight of Maya standing there pretending to be in love with this guy who was ready to do anything for her, even shed his blood to please her.. The precap where she is shedding tears infront of the empty cradle should normally tug at your heart..for me it did nothing..

Didn't Maya say it ? The murderer herself calling it a victory isn't proper justification. It's too soon to see whether it's glorified in the show.....or did I miss something !?

@red : me neither. Call me insensitive but Fetus vs human is not a fair bargain. Not even in psycho standard.

I love psychological thrillers and sociopath anti heroes until the makers call a spade a spade !

No Sony TV were running the precap/promo and the voiceover said Maya's first big victory. You know there is still a chance that Rishi might survive yet I dont think I will be able to connect with this Maya unless n untill they improve the writing. I would love for her to torment MJ, ruin his business, tarnish his image, so many ways to bring him down other than going behind his back and murdering people.. there's nothing smart or daring about it..

😲 I didn't know that. So my point #2 doesn't hold any water here either 😕
