you have misunderstood the meaning of the word "low profile" I used. Low profile doesn't mean low quality which you seem to have taken. Low profile means person who is not - publicity hungry / doesn't throw his weight around, doesn't appear constantly under media glaze/ doesn't talk big about himself and his work at every opportunity. About Ashok patkie's work I have very high regard - no one can deny his great talent and great work he has been doing for so many years. What I meant to say was such person can get a one time role for his son but not always. Got it ?ashok patki is not at all a low profile music director.on d contrary,he is a renowed,talented ,legendary persnality in marathi music industry,who had composed mile sur mera tumhara ,so many jingles,so many marathi serials tital traks,so many albums including swapnil bandodkar's radha album,had brought young singers in industry,kept d singer in prashant damale alive with many marathi plays,had worked with almost all legendary singers till date.
the thing is now he is above 75, so either he had reduced his work or simply ,he may not b getting that type of projects wants,or simply many newcomers like nilesh moharir,rohan rohan etc have arrived who r also doing a great job
yes,u r right that he is not sachin pilgaonakr to give his son a break which he could have easily done in d past by making a musical album with his son in lead,bt that is not ashok patki
as in his biography saptsur maze,its very clear that he is not an artist who got work by anybody's influence
and this is not ashutosh's first serial ,he had alreqdy acted in cm or sp 's one of d serials as a lead
abt this role as babdya ,it could b channel's thought to give him a break as his father is alao composing d music.
if he is getting d projects due to his father,then he would have arrived as a lead much much before when ashok patki was ruling d marathi telky world.
its either his luck that he got this show.
