I was waiting to watch Thursday and Fridays episode before making this post. So much so that I kept myself away from all the clips floating around on IG too, just to get the full experience from the episode. 😆And was it worth it? Darn right it was.
To start of with, Thursday was anurag's show all the way. Parth was brilliant and kudos to the dialogue writers for giving anurag the perfect dialogues, striking the correct balance between anurag's dilemma over his changing feelings for Prerna and his awareness of his own relationship status and his sense of right vs wrong. His helplessness was beautiful. His mind is firmly rejecting the very notion of developing anything beyond strictly platonic feelings for Prerna. But his heart will hear none of it. At the same time, the practical siid of him has to acknowledge that what he is feeling is not platonic. He's burning, burning with jealously and restlessness at seeing prerna with anyone else. In his hurry to find a partner for pre who will hold her hand and be by her side all her life, he has overlooked the fact that he cannot see anyone else but himself there.
He couldn't stop himself from stepping forward for a dance with prerna. But even there, even in the midst of all the questions raging in his mind and the jealousy and sadness burning his heart, he still stopped to ask prerna if she was tired after her dance. I have no words to express what I felt there except to say that this is why I will always love Anurag Basu. His sensitivity, his softness, his care towards pre in the tiniest things. And the conversation that followed was enough to give prerna the assurance that her anurag is coming back to her.. Her attitude in that dance with anurag had that confidence, that faith in her love. The way she looked at him there, she was lowering her guard with him, inch by inch. Letting him see, what she was hiding for so long, because he was now ready to see it.
"baat dil ki, nazron ne ki."
How apt was that for these two. They indeed were talking through their eyes. Prerna was letting her feelings show. And what he was seeing was too much for anurag to process. His mind gave way, and as he was spiraling towards unconsciousness, it was not just his physical self but also his emotions which was unable to take the sudden onslaught. And in both these cases, prerna's hand is what righted the situation for him. He doesn't really understand all that's happening, all that's changing, he knows that something monumental has happened in his life that he has forgotten, and once he regains the memory of it, it maybe too much for him to bear. He needs prerna there in these circumstances, needs the comfort of her touch, because the only thing he has come to trust now is that when she is by his side, everything is all right. No matter what, she's there for him.
Prerna's long, dark and lonely journey is about to end. How soul crushing it must've been for her, to have anurag see her, but not really recognize her. To be next to him and with him every day, but not in the way she craved. To see him love her unborn child and not be able to tell him that she was his child as well. To remember all the moments they shared together, but not be able to relive them with him. Unknowingly he was fulfilling all his promises of being there with her always. But for her, she had lost the love of her life. Her soulmate was missing. For he is indeed that. The other half of her heart, the mate of her soul. Incomplete but for each other.
But now, in Anurag Basu, prerna can see her Anurag again. The love of her life, the beat of her heart, and her true soulmate. Soon, they will find each other again.
