Yeah, the creatives are pushing for it.

I do enjoy SidNaaz for the most part of it so I don't have a problem with it ( my views on them aren't that of the average shipper tho) but I wanted the standing ovation to be solely for her, even if forced/demanded. And yeah I agree, the craze definitely seems unreal. I don't know about earlier seasons but the fact they got me shipping an 'on-screen jodi' tells me the craze is real coz I am faaar from shipping anyone ever. 🤣

Arti's act looked good.Probably it's in her genes. I think she should give it a try.

Rashmi - If I'm not wrong she did some comedy show on stand up comedy in sony channel I think.But still her act seems to have fallen flat.

Rest of them I think this is the first time they are doing stand up comedy.

Asim was reading from the papers but he used his skills as a rapper to make up for that

Sana was at her aggressive funny best self

Shukla was okay

Rest of them will have to see

I agree with you but Asim and Shehnaz had really good dialogues and that makes them the winners. When you see the enemies clap or cry for what you said makes you the winner. Though will wait for the episode because hard to judge without seeing the main episode.

Abhish ( son of Abhish) is a friend and believe me he’s an awesome writer n great comic timing but his first stand ups- in really small cafes in Delhi years back were such a bomb. Not a single person laughed.

So stand up artists also take a lot of time to excel their craft. It’s not natural for most people.

so I think kudos to all of them. Also stand up has a million different styles.

At the end of the day they were all doing different things:

- Aarti was doing stand up in the traditional sense. I'm sure she'll have good premises too.

- Asim was roasting. That's what a roast is, just one punch after another. And I thought adding the rhyme element was a great touch.

- Sana was loud but she owned it. She interacted with the crowd and kept the energy going. When she was talking about Mahira, she code-switched between them setting up a conversation "Youre jealous of me! Arreh tu HAI KOOON!" that stuff is key in stand-up.

I think all three of them looked great in the promos!

Sid : looked strangely nervous and conscious . Maybe that sher or the audience shook him .

Sana : was too loud !!! comedy is not a rock concert !

Asim : WHen you read out comedy looses impact .

So for me all these most discussed contestants here fell short in the CLIPS !!

Rashmi I thought was good in her timings !!!

Aarti the content was good !!

Even madhurima the content was good .

Though we have just seen glimpse of their performances. I agree with you on few points.

Sana, Asim and Sid were not outstanding but since people like them the most, it creates some bias. Remember Shilpa vs Hina singing performance with live audience voting in bb11? Hina sang way better but most of audience at that point were already loving Shilpa. So that made Shilpa winner from votes.

Its little bit like parents like their own kids performance in school gathering even if they are dancing in last row 😀

Audience also looked nervous. They were not behaving freely.

For me- most appealing performance was Arati’s. For one she was very confident and she made jokes on herself... independent Aarati and all.

She getting no.2 marke on day1 is extra ordinary since she is not among most loved.

It was different set of audience on day1 and day2. On day2 they in general got better score overall.

Even to me Sid looked nervous. Sana was looked vengeful and loud. Asim reading from paper showed lack of preparation.

Even Rashmi i did not like. She had the funniest line: Siddharth Shukla aap bahut acche insan ho (pause) joke khattam.

Her delivery of Joke Khattam shud have been with plain face. But she herself was laughing when saying it.
Madhu also had good lines. But she always looks vulnerable for some reason, not a good quality for a standup comedian.

And i agree on- Standup comedy is very difficult. They have to memorise lines very well. The timing has to be tuned with more and more experience based on audience feedback.
So we shud not expect 10/10 from anyone here.

Stand up comedy is not so easy... Kudos to them for attempting first time...

Exactly! For the first time doing stand up- each of them did it in their own style in the way that suits them the best.

Baaki let’s see the episode and decide. But I for one am going to judge them pretty non harshly on this.

Yeh wala topic aisa lagrahahai. Look at everyone (including me!) talking about jokes, delivery, timing, reading/not reading, audience interaction, etc. 🤣
