Just caught up with this thread. I can't believe a channel as TRP hungry as Star plus would take off air its current most popular show. It may possibly be kulfi or SJ. Let's see, will find out soon enough .

From all new articles from the time the show started its been said that its finite show and will go off air in Feb....lets see if Star really replaces its top trp garner show without extension...😆 also Kulfi and now Jinn show at 8 :30 PM slot are high octane dramas that got the trps for the channel and the new show looks more of fun and laughter...I doubt this new show will fetch high trps as the jinn show of it replaces it....there are other shows too in pipeline for Star...saw some news on that.... i think Star is still contemplating on the slot...SJ 's trp is increasing from last 2 weeks and now they killed of Shashank and probably if trp increases even more then SJ might be still on air...Kulfi can be closed...already too much drama happened on that show...

What time does kulfi air in India? The new show seems like a family orientated one and may possibly work at an earlier slot. Jinn is still a relatively new show and even though it's a finite series I don't believe SP will shut that down if it continues to get excellent ratings. They may decide to close Kulfi but will Gul allow them to? She's obviously a very egotistical woman and she has managed to produce a lot of hits for SP. Will she allow her show to close whilst SJ continues? Envisioning a lot of back door dealing. SJ is not even close to its slot leader. The online ratings for the show aare also poor which confuses me. They have a big fan base on Twitter. Where are the fans watching the show and why is this not reflected on the hot star and other online ratings. Anyway it will be interesting to see how it pans out. I sense a huge fandom war oncoming........
What did you think of the NKYBF trailer? I thought it was better than expected but not brilliant. The one good thing I did like is NM has appeared to have completely shed SSO. Right from his body language to the tone of his voice appear to have gone through subtle changes to get into his new character. I suppose the proof of how well he has done will be in the show itself. He mentioned in one of his recent interviews that he will be looking at a non-romatic role next. I hope he sticks to his words and he comes out in a grey shaded character next. Would love to see him in the role of an antagonist!

Kulfi airs @ 7PM slot before SJ....earlier it was moved to 6:30 PM after Jinn show started but then after Star closed Namah, Kulfi is moved to this 7 PM slot....
Gul and Star have both been saying that Jinn is finite show and will end in Feb......atleast until now they haven't changed that statement...lets see if both of them stick to that and until what time.....😆
yes Gul has given a lot of shows for SP but SidPM is not some aviyni producer .....the earlier 7PM slot show of Shrenu was closed down within 3 months owing to low trp which is almost same of what Kulfi and SJ are getting now.....so I guess big producers have their own say....lets see how things go.....and about fan wars the less said the much better....every day new drama on twitter land....itna drama ITV shows mein bhi nahi hota jitna yeh log karte hain.....🤷♀️🤦♂️ both sides ready to kill each other whereas their faves are busy in their own world working, earning, enjoying themselves with family, friends and co-stars.....its been more than an year IB ended but fans are still stuck there trying to show that only their fav is best while the other is waste....
Fandom fights are becoming worse day by day and its not only about NM vs SC fans....most of the stan twitters are like that only.....that place has become so toxic....some times I feel like telling them there are lot of important things in life to do, lot more burning issues going on in the country and around you that seeing fans fighting over actors and fictional characters seems frivolous....but then I realize ppl will have learn to understand that on their own...
about NKYBF trailer, I do have mixed feelings about it....as you rightly said there is no trace of SSO in the way NM portrayed Sumer....and thank god he looks okay in that clean shave....the trailer looks very picturesque with good music....but I doubt the characters are interesting....you get the glimpses of already seen characters/journey some where before....like 2 friends starting on wrong note..becoming best friends..until one of them falls in love while the other is either ignorant or doesn't realize......some of the fun scenes (I think college ones with NM clean shaven look) reminded me of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil when both of the leads went on their vacation after breaking up with their partners....I felt that freshness of the characters is missing....not sure how much of the interactions between leads is kept interesting and not the typical cliches.... the characters can be ordinary but then the writers need to be intelligent enough to create something extra ordinary out of ordinary characters...
Also promo has lot of content when both the leads were in college......and not after when they meet again after 5 years...NKYBF book starts with Sumer and Tanie meeting after 5 years and their journey then on.....there was a prequel to this book called Just Friends where it tells about how these 2 characters met and how they became best friends and at the end of the book part ways....though the show is titled NKYBF, looks like this season focuses more on their college stuff ...from the first book...looks like there might be sequel to this season bcoz the trailer didn't give any hint on how the story ended in the second book as I know the ending spoiler...
