I always wanted Sharmas to get importance, but not by making them come across as insensitive people to their own daughter and sibling, Prerna. They never understood her, shivi being the exception. Honestly, i lost my connect with veena in the previous track only. The last string attached was her bond with Anurag and now my problem is not the way she has changed her dynamics with reference to Anurag, as a mother her concern is justified, but this emotional blackmailing she is doing to her own daughter, by manipulating her that Anurag is taking decision for you and your kid so go for it, is making me extremely mad at her. It's not like Anurag has ditched Prerna or bringing a marriage proposal for her with his right state of mind. He has an ML, FGS! She knows where her daughter's happiness lies, still she is giving a blind eye to it. For me, Veena has FAILED as a mother.
Mohini, Veena and all belong to that generation where they believe that they have the right to decide what is good for their kids. And in one way they are justified, especially Veena maa, because they might have sacrificed their dreams for their kids and have been working day & night to give their kids a good life. And today she used a word like 'durdasa' to picturise what she is feeling about Pre's life as a whole, after AnuPre happened. She might have been connecting many events to AnuPre - like Rajesh's death happened just after AnuPre's truth got revealed to her. Then after that Anu ditching Pre. Then Komo trying to kill her, followed by Ronit kidnapping Pre. Till this point, she might have been only contemplating on these realisations. It was the fish incident followed by Veena getting her jailed, that had shooketh her to the core and started getting her vocal about her fears. And now the B-phase plus Anu's ML has made her to be adamant that what she believes is the truth. That's why she is purposely turning a blind eye to Pre's happiness. So, until something happens that she will be forced to remove the patti from her eyes, she is not going to favour AnuPre any more.
