A week had passed and there was still no life in navya. She had not shed a single tear ever since that day. She had depleted her stock of a lifetime of tears in that one day. She had gotten sick because of all the emotional stress, combined with the physical state she was in. She had been taken back to the hospital again after 2 days. Her body was in searing pain, as was her heart. The accident had resulted in multiple injuries all over her body. The miscarriage had depleted her of energy and her mental state had taken a toll on her. The doctors ordered her bed rest for three weeks, out of which one week had passed, with no change in her mental condition. Physically, she was getting better.She had been under constant medical supervision for some reason or the other. But her physical condition was not what Anant was worried about. Despite the setback, she was recovering quickly. Her health was better than they had any right to expect. He did not worry about that. What he worried about was her mental health. She was deeply depressed and that was not showing any signs of permanent recovery. Her depression had its phases, but one thing was common all the time-she was always aloof, indifferent, detached. It was like nothing mattered to her. Which was probably true. There was nothing worth mattering left in her life.She had seen her whole future in her unborn baby. She had attached herself too much to her child. With the baby gone, she did not have a reason to live. She had not shown any sign of remembering being in each other's embrace when it all happened. It was as if she had not realized that it was he who had held her through the pain. Ever since that day, he had been with navya every second. He had never left her side. He knew she did not want him there. But she did not say anything. And that was the problem-she was not saying anything ... anything at all, to anyone. Not her friends, not her family, and especially not him. She was not even looking at anything. Her eyes were always open, blinking very rarely. Her gaze saw through everything. Her eyes did not rest on anything. Anant was scared. He could not see navya like this. If she wanted him out of her life, fair and good; he would go gladly. But he wanted her to at least say that to him. To shout, to be furious, to insult him-anything. But he could not ... would not ... go unless she asked him to. He knew she needed him. Maybe even she did not know that, but he did. She was not going to get better staying in the hospital. He could not wait for her treatment to finally start showing results. He was desperate. He wanted to do something. He feared that if she was left in such a state for long, it would eventually become her constant state. He could not let that happen. He had to do something.

ANANT- how's she?

Anant asked to ritika. He was at ritika's office, an uninvited guest. But he had no other option. No one was taking his calls. No one was calling him back. And he could not live with that. He had to know.

RITIKA- 'Still the same. Why did you come here? I told you not to,'

Ritika said softly, motioning him to sit. He was drawing unwanted attention; her co-workers were staring from their cubicles.

ANANT- 'Because you weren't answering my calls.' plus I tried to talk with navya yesterday but meeta aunty denied me to do that

RITIKA- 'Because I had nothing to tell. If there is a change in her condition, I will tell you. Right now, there isn't any.'

ANANT- 'For how long are we going to wait? Her condition won't change itself. I know that she is not going to get better like this. We will have to do something, for that to happen,'

RITIKA- 'What can we do? She knows we are there with her. She is taking all her medications on time. There is nothing else that can be done.' give her sometime..

ANANT- her surrounding is full of hospital things.. she's in regular contact with doctors and nurses. There is sadness all around. She feels like a patient. I know it's necessary for her, but we also can do it na, why there's a need for hospital environment? She have to get out of that thing.

RITIKA- you've a point. But meeta aunty cannot single handedly take care of both deepak uncle and navya.. navita di is there but she also has her own house. We can't be with navya 24*7

ANANT- 'I will be there with her. I won't leave her side for even a second. I will make sure she is okay.'

Said anant wanting to take care of his love but ritika looks shocked

RITIKA- 'Are you kidding? She will never agree to that.'

ANANT- 'We don't need her permission. We just need everyone on our team,'

RITIKA- meeta aunty, Deepak uncle, gaurav jiju and yes appy too.... All hates you and you know that

ANANT - 'And that's where you come in. It is your job to convince them.. I know navita di doesn't hate me. She'll also support me. Convince them to let us do this, not for me, but for navya. She won't say no to that.

Ritika thinks for a while. She was not understanding whether to support him or not. But then she remembers what ranbir had told her that all what happened between Anant and navya is a silly misunderstanding. The fact is that they love each other.

RITIKA- ok... Consider it as done. What do we do?

ANANT- I have a plan....

Anant smile lightly and hope for the best for navya..

MEETA- no.... Never..... We will not allow you to be there for her... Atleast I'll not allow

Meeta shows her anger when navita told her about anant wanted to be with navya to take care of her. Anant looks sad and it was ok for him because he knows he had not done anything to gain navya's parents trust. He had left their daughter all alone and gave her millions of pain so why her parents will trust him and let him be with their daughter now.

NAVITA- maa... We will also be there na.. but Kya aapko nahi lagta ki Hume un dono ke liye ek koshish karni chahiye?

MEETA- why? What's the need? And why suddenly he has started caring for my navya?

Anant took a long breathe, not because he was angry and fed up with these type of questions but because he knows that he don't have answer for this.

MEETA- already he have done this much right from hospital to here. And I don't want him to interfere more.

Meeta states her decision. Anant looks at Deepak who was silently sitting and listening to his wife. He moves towards him..

ANANT- sir, I know I have done a lot of things which are not acceptable by you all.. but I've not done that on purpose.. can I get a chance to explain myself? Please if you permit?

Deepak looks at him without having any expression. He looks at meeta and navita who were staring him blankly.

MEETA- and why would we believe you?

ANANT- I don't know... But ma'am, just listen to me and then take any decision. I promise I'll do as you both says...

Anant makes her promise and request them to listen to his side. Deepak nodded in agreement. Meeta sits besides deepak not interested in anant's confession while anant sits in front of them..

ANANT- I had a past sir.. a very painful past.. I lost my family when I was young. All my life I have been struggling to this pain. But when I fall in love the very first time, I thought it will be a life changing experience for me. But that didn't happen. She betrayed me... Only for my money she was with me. I have trusted her blindly but she backstabbed me... I lost all trust and hopes from everyone...

MEETA- and the same you did with navya? Whatever that girl did to you, you did with navya...

Meeta says but Deepak tried to stop her. He indicates anant to continue..

ANANT- then your daughter came into my life ma'am... She was the one with whom I felt special.. again that feelings came into my life.. but I did not wanted to be in love again. After my past relationship I do not want to have any girl near my heart. But navya was something I couldn't resist to. She made me fall in love again... The day when she asked me to propose her for marriage, I felt scared, suddenly... Not because I wasn't sure of navya but because I wanted time for myself.. to commit someone whole heartedly.. to marry someone....

Deepak looks at meeta who was now completely looking at anant and listening him properly...

ANANT- finally I decided to go with my heart, not my mind... I came to navya to confess my feelings to her. But what I heard gave me shock... I heard her say that she wants money from me. And I'll give her just coz I love her.. this statement made my heart goes into pieces... I felt that navya too betrayed me.. and whatever I said that day to navya was just a part of this misassumption... I was very angry on her. And when she told she's pregnant, I.... I did not believe her and...... I made a huge mistake..... A very huge one...

Anant bows down feeling guilty. He knows that her parents may not accept his apologies but will try to figure out that what made him do these things...

ANANT- I know my sorry and apologies will not get back what have been lost, but please try to believe me... I love her... I love your daughter. And that's why when all these misunderstandings got cleared, the first thing I do is be there with navya... I do not want to lose her now sir... I really really love her...

Said anant in a confident looking straight into Deepak and meeta. Navita's eyes falls on side ways where navya was standing listening everything. She had light tears, for a change after so many days she had some expression-be it a tear- but she had...

ANANT- if you both think... That there's a chance to be given to me... Then please lend me a chance... Just one.... I promise I'll not leave navya alone this time...

NAVYA- 'I would happily sell myself before I accept this man's help..

Shouted navya.. she was angry but yes again this was her second emotion. For anant it was ok. He was happy with the progress already... Navita move towards her and she got navya into her bedroom. After navya left Deepak looks at anant...

DEEPAK- anant... We have seen her in this... We have witnessed our daughter's pain..and after this, We do not want anything that makes navya go weak.. and you.... Your presence will make her feel weak.... You just got example...

Anant bows down trying to understand what a father wants to say about his daughter.

DEEPAK- but.... I can't deny that you love navya.. and also that she does it too... Yes I know she's not in a state to say that.. she's in pain.. in anger... But I know she do love you... And I think this is the only reason enough to give you a chance...

This statement makes anant surprise as well as happy... But it shocks meeta. It was not acceptable for her to keep navya with anant. She just left from there without saying anything. Deepak patted anant's shoulder and gave him his support.

DEEPAK- I hope I can trust you this time..

ANANT- thank you so much sir...

Anant smile and this was enough for him. Deepak's trust was more than enough for him. And he knows the rest will also trust him soon, especially his navya...

Yes.. it was his biggest mistake to judge everyone the same. And he's really paying hard for it..

Navita made navya sit on her bed. She was worried about what decision deepak and meeta will take for anant. Navya was angry and was not ready to be with anant. But she didn't said anything to navita..

NAVITA- navya.... You ok?

She didn't said anything. She was just sitting doing nothing. She did not even change her posture or make herself comfortable. Her eyes were blank. Anant came there and navya's eyes travels to look at him. They stare for a moment. And the next moment navya withdraw her eyes looking away... Navita motioned Anant to come out; she wanted to talk to him in private.

NAVITA- what now?

she hissed, as soon as they were in the dining room, out of navya's hearing range.

ANANT- as planned... The papers will be ready in three days.. I've talked with Aditya he'll look into it..

NAVITA- ok.. but what do we do till then?

ANANT- just wait.... I guess so...

Navita nodded in agreement. She didn't speak anything and asked anything to anant. He only decided to have a talk with her

ANANT- thanks....

Navita looks in a questioning expression

ANANT- for trusting me .. fir giving me a chance ... To get everything at its own place.

NAVITA- I've done this only for navya.. I hope she recovers soon

ANANT- I promise... Navya aur me fir ek sath ho ya na ho... But she will be that original navya soon....

APPY- what???

Anant and navita both look sideways to find appy standing listening to them... She moves towards them..

APPY- ritika told me about your stupid plan.. do you think it's possible without navya knowing it? And secondly..... What you said? You'll be here to take care of navya?? You? Do you think you can trap me into this? I'll never leave you alone with navya

Appy snarled. Navita looks in disappointment at anant while he nodded his head

ANANT- 'What do you think I would do? Take advantage of her? In this condition? I know you hate me appy, but even you know that I care about her. I would never cause her any harm ... again.'

APPY- 'But she will not let you live with her. Don't you get it? She hates you.'

ANANT- 'And that is a good thing. It would be some emotion ... any emotion. That is the best way to push her out of her condition. She will protest. If not right away, maybe tomorrow, when she sees me here still. Or the day after that ... She will do something to push me away ... but at least she won't be a statue anymore,'

Appy looks at him in suspicious. She looks at navita and tried to mentally ask her. Anant looks at their mental conversation

ANANT- please appy... I've given a long long explanatory speech to deepak uncle and meeta aunty. If you want you can confirm from them.. but do not stop me to do this.. I want you to be with me... I want you all to be with me...

After a minute of thought, in which appy looked up at him suspiciously and mentally evaluated the situation, she nodded.

APPY- I hope this works...

Says appy giving him a warning..

ANANT- Thank you so much ..

NAVITA- 'And Anant, you have to promise me you won't hurt her. I know you won't ... but still.... You know maa cannot trust you ... after everything.' this is the chance to prove her your love ..

ANANT- I promise I'll not hurt her...

They went back to navya's bedroom to find her sitting in the exact same place, in the exact same way. There wasn't any change at all. It scared Anant. He could feel her going away, retreating into some far corner of her head, where she wanted no one to enter. He needed to get her out of it quickly, or he would lose her forever. He gesture to appy and she nodded..

APPY- hey babes. .. better now?

Asked appy in a full enthusiastic mood. But there was no answer from navya

NAVITA- 'You know what navii? Ritika and ranbir are getting engaged. They have told their parents about their relationship and surprisingly, no one created a scene or anything. They agreed -both families. Imagine that,'

Navita said in an excitement moving towards navya. But still navya didn't shows any excitement or response.

APPY- 'Oh gosh. Look at the time. It's 9 PM already. I really need to go home. I'm twenty-two, but my parents still treat me like a child.'

No response still from navya. Appy and navita looks at each other first then at anant. He nodded quietly..

APPY- 'So ... umm ... I'll go then? If there is anything, just give me a call, okay?' and navita di... You are staying here tonight?

NAVITA- no... My mother in law is waiting for me... You'll drop me home?

Asked navita while appy nodded. They both looks at navya who was still in same position saying nothing...

NAVITA- 'And oh-Anant will be here. He'll take care of you. Maa will get a helping hand...

Navya blinked. Anant, appy and navita met each other's eyes. They were ecstatic inside. They could not believe their plan was working already.

NAVITA- that's ok right?

Navya's gaze zeroed in on navita for a brief second, shifted to Anant for even shorter and that was it. Her eyes were blank again.

APPY- is there a problem? You're ok with anant staying here right?

Appy tried to ask again. But no response from navya. Navita looks at anant disheartened. Anant nodded to let her know that it was going to be okay. They needed patience. Navya would come back. Navita nodded back. She kissed navya on forehead while appy gave her a hug and they both left from there. Anant and navya were now alone, after a very long time...

Sab kuch thik honeke liya time lagta hai .as of now I think anant ke plan kaam karjaye and navya jaldi thik hojaye ...

Navya is in a frozen emotionless state right now. It will take time to have her come out of it.
