The best and worst parts of being a Sidnaaz fan is that you can see the positives and negatives of both Sid and Sana and can appreciate both and find fault with both. The problem here is one can get beaten black and blue from fans of both ends saying you flip
That’s an issue if you are a centrist everywhere. It’s not playing neutral or being diplomatic, but being genuinely able to see goodness everywhere and it’s opposite too and being able to forgive for the larger good and move on constructively. That sounds a bit like Sana, eh?
For all his shortcomings I absolutely loved Siddharth yesterday. Yes, bad relationships can leave an extremely bad taste like nasty divorces and the animosity can never end. You can also have perfectly friendly relationships with your ex-es. Shefali- Sid are a positive relationship that didn’t work out and same with Akansha- Sid, but Rashmi- Sid went dirty. Having seen the way Shefali and Akansha conduct themselves in public and how Rashmi conducts herself, one can understand why Sid said “aisi ladki”. Male representation has been extremely poor in our country and I am glad Sid stood for that. He has been falsely charged with a threat to MeToo by Devoleena too and these are unforgivable charges. Simply unforgivable by any means for the laxity with which it was thrown thereby undermining the very objective of the movement.
I for one have never known Siddharth beyond his name before Bigg Boss coz I don’t watch Hindi GEC (that I will watch him now onwards is another thing). He arrived the first week as a sorted guy who raised his voice only rightfully and was fun around everyone even while we knew he’s the Alpha of the house. I had liked Rashmi prior to BB coz I have watched her perform on some TV stage performances and found her cute. I had no idea they had any sort of history. But my sympathy fell right at Sid the moment I found him being bitched about for no damn reason and targeted blatantly by Rashmi for stuff as pathetic as his vegetables were not evenly chopped
Her entire attitude and cheap game play grossed me out and Siddharth repeatedly made it a point to say he would not spoil her name and she was still relentless in her barbs, so much so that the channel had to bring in external elements to warn her from doing so and having it backfire on her as it eventually did. So, I know what “aisi ladki” means now- Rashmi Desai for all her superficial cuteness is a vengeful woman who can’t handle a broken relationship nor anything good happening to an ex and who also chooses to wash her dirty laundry in public in order to tarnish the image of the ex. There were very conscious efforts to target Sid at the start of the last task too by trying to make him get him “on the front foot” by Asim and Rashmi. The audience sees everything, guys.
Anyway, my point here is Sidharth was brilliant in putting across his point. As a woman, I hate playing the woman card anywhere or any card for that matter, have never owned up to any privileges for women and never will. And I completely get where Siddharth is coming from. Men and women on equal footing and meritocracy alone. Nothing more and nothing less. Law is One, and ought to be One for all. Principle of Natural Justice for all.
So, why am I mentioning this on our Sidnaaz thread? Coz Siddharth has from early on been telling Sana to keep away from Rashmi without citing reasons. Sana is an intelligent woman and a fully curious one too and she has never been the kind to do something without adequate reason and then again, staying away from someone in a game show is not a really wise choice. Full respect to Siddharth though for having been confidential about his past upto this point. He had guarded not just his privacy, but Rashmi’s too in the process. But now, Rashmi actually did Siddharth good service by pushing him and herself to spill their truth on national television. Salman was so right. One’s dignity is indeed in one’s own hands. All of Siddharth’s history and ugly personal facts and truths have come tumbling out in the process. Sana gets to hear them at a good point in their relationship. It’s always been Sid asking questions and Sana answering them. I have lamented multiple times on the thread as to how we need to know Siddharth’s life too. Well, we got to know a slice of that yesterday. And Sana did too.
Fear of losing one’s dear one and/or the pointlessness or discussing personal stuff before there is any guarantee or the matter of personal dignity before a national audience would have kept Sid out of spilling anything to Sana previously. He’s been set free of that now. Sana knows the worst about him. Details don’t really matter, but knowing Sana, she may persist at Rashmi- that’s Sana’s game. Aarti herself is good friends with both Sid and Rashmi- so that’s also possible. But Sana is one beautiful stubborn donkey who won’t budge if she is convinced about what she needs. And nobody’s words can turn her. All the ugly revelations yesterday should serve her well in processing things and where she see ‘them’ in the future. Her words on the precap are a sign of where she stands now- she will treat him sar pe bithake. For life, is the unsaid message that was clear in her expression.
Siddharth surely feared that he may lose her after Rashmi’s tirade and the expose, and rushed to talk to her later and which was edited out. I would have loved to hear that, the voyeur that I am. Paras was also asked to explain the incidents of the night before which nearly gave Sana a panic attack. Siddharth had been clearly disturbed then.
All said and done, I see Sidnaaz as what I call a pots and pans couple
In happy times, they will have so much of love between them, that people can’t stop staring. In unhappy times, we can expect the sounds of pots and pans and kettles clattering or deadly silence from their home- one of the two
. There is no middle ground for their, er... dosti
These two have a long way to go ahead, a lot of talking to do, a lot of knots to untie... but the relationship has good potential and all of us can smell love in the air. Vikas as I have said from the day his entry was announced, is such a gem ❤️ and my heart beats for him too. All child women and child men get a piece of my heart coz I am a child woman too
Sidnaaz for the win
And thread wale regulars, I love ya guys
❤️
