But I don't have to prove jackshit to you. Go figure it out yourself. I am not going to sit around spoon-feeding proof to you just because you were too ignorant to know it by now.

He refers to illegal immigrants as termites. He makes no indication that only Muslims were termites. You can argue his latter statement that Hindus/Buddhists who were refugees will be given citizenship, but that argument wouldn't suffice because not all illegal immigrants that are Hindus/Buddhists are refugees. The other argument that I see appearing is it gives Hindus/Buddhists a clean chit, but a simple statement that you're a refugee isn't going mean you'll get citizenship with a snap of a finger.

Take Hitler's statement in comparison:
On September 16, 1919, Hitler issues his first written comment on the so-called Jewish Question.

In the statement, he defined the Jews as a race and not a religious community, characterized the effect of a Jewish presence as a “race-tuberculosis of the peoples,” and identified the initial goal of a German government to be discriminatory legislation against Jews. The “ultimate goal must definitely be the removal of the Jews altogether.” Hitler's years in Vienna (1908–1913) and his military service were important stages for his development of a comprehensive racist ideology.
Stage 4 talks about dehumanizing a race. Indian Muslims are not seen as illegal immigrants. Indian Muslims are not in danger of being thrown out of the country. You can thank the fear mongering politics of the LW for this crap.

This is what I found - opinion pieces that conclude the existence of fascism based on select elements/characteristics being met. I couldn't find any sources (in my limited research) from political science/historians that point to India going towards fascism. I see left-leaning websites claim that India is leaning that way because X,Y,Z characteristics have been met. Fascism is complex. It's not as simple as inserting stuff into slots to pop out a result. I think India leans more towards Authoritarianism than Facism, but even then, you're not seeing the major flaws of these two types of governments. You have limited political freedom in these two governments, but we're not seeing that in the current government. On that note, was the government under Congress secular or was it just minority appeasements... I'd argue the latter. Secularism in India has shifted to mean one thing - Muslim appeasement. Why? Vote banks.

Finally, I can also see why Hindutva is being seen as fascism. The comments by fringe nut job MPs don't help either, but I think BJP is working towards a better India. They are doing it in a really f&*king bumpy (seriously, they have to get their shit together) way, though.

Let's treat everyone equally, not give preferential treatment to anyone (except those that need it, and not on the basis of religion), and move forward with a modernized country.
