I am fascinated by such tragedies because I can barely begin to imagine how one could keep their sanity when facing such tragedy. Not only that, but to also persevere and overcome the odds !!

I have only good wishes for such people.

And yes, even if JUST A FEW are moved to NOT DO such terrible things to other human beings.. then the movie will serve its purpose.

Such subjects are good because we can all learn to be more emphatic, more kind, in our daily life.

Found this underwhelming after so much hype. Makeup artist have done good job. The trailer was okay.

Pretty boring. It looks like a Rani Mukherjee movie like No One Killed Jessica and Mardaani except without Rani.

The make-up makes a big difference even if underneath it, it is the same old mediocre Deepika.

But still I will say with honesty:

It was too commercialised.. Maybe I was expecting a bit serious Dil dehlane wala type movie. By the end of trailer I even forgot it's about the acid victim...it became like a normal story of a lead character achievement.

This trailer was kinda underwhelming tbh but Deepika seems to have done very well ⭐️ Waiting to see Vikrant too ❤️

Also kudos to Deepika for attempting a true "female centric" movie 😉 driving solely on her shoulders and not caring about her beauty.

Having said that, the trailer is underwhelming. Firstly, BG score is very distracting and it gives a B gradish feel. The trailer is also cut in a weird way. Contrast this with the cut, score of Meghna's Talvar trailer.

Next thing, I had issue with is the courtroom drama driven execution of the plot. It almost feels like Mardaani Part 3.... with the subject being acid instead of sexual assault.

Deepika is effective a few places and then not so much in others. Will wait for the movie to judge performance.

I watched Uyare earlier this year and Parvathy was very effective in that movie. You cried when she screams looking at her disfigured face in the mirror first time (with Deepika, it was a less impact). Uyare, also from an execution standpoint was subtle with its fight against the perpetrator and had this arc for the protagonist to realize her dream of being a pilot.
