Going by Salaman's body language this does not even looks like the faintest of prank. This is real. Salman is clearly angry, and he really cares for Rashmi as he has known her for the past many years.

I hope it’s a prank because the script Salman is going by is very silly. If Salman/BB really cared about Rashmi, then why did they bring Arhaan back when Arhaan has mentioned numerous times he want to propose to Rashmi inside the house. Sorry but if it’s not a prank, Salman is going to look like a weirdo following a script that is trying to not highlight the issues in the house.
