If Ep 1 was symbolic, then Ep 2 was about contrasts.
I want to know firstly, who is this khabru of Maya who gives inside sneak peeks into the Roy household to Maya. Must be someone close. Can it be our very own MJ's brother from another mother - Aamir? Maybe. But it could be someone else as well.
So, Maya quite cleverly lures Rishi into her den, in spite of several warnings from Rudra. But Rishi being the hyper, over-excited, flirty stalker would not pay heed to his words. Rishi is quite daring to just barge inside an unknown home into an unknown room and facing a gun. He is so desperate, as in, he gives the feel that Maya is another one of his trophy in his collection. But he is the fool here. Firstly, he is a fool to think that Maya is another one of his scores. 2nd, he is also made to believe that Maya is some damsel in distress and in need of his protection and love.
So coming to the contrast bit here, with Rishi, Maya plays with his ego and gives him a boost that he is the one in control here, he is the one she needs, she is oh-so-scared and oh-so-much in pain and he is her savior by being her new connection. Compare that with her interaction with Rudra. To Rudra, Maya is Maya Jaisingh, the strong independent woman who is also a bestselling author and has an ego to compete with his. She puts his ego down and hurts him by her words so that the pain he feels within reduces a bit. Her words angered him so much, that for a moment he forgot why he was angry and with whom. Maya is taking advantage of the anger he has on his father.
Contrast here too is what I felt, I am not sure whether others did. Whenever Maya is with Rishi, it is evident that she is playing him, but whenever she is with Rudra, it seems she goes a little soft on him. Like she is trying to help him by hurting him. Just like she said at the beginning of the episode, "Toofan ek bhai ko aasman ki uchaion tak le jayega, aur ek bhai ko zameen ki gehrayion tak." I felt the first one was for Rudra and the latter for Rishi.
Another significant dialogue I felt was when Maya walks out of the lounge and says to herself, "Pyaar to mujhe bhi nahi hai tumse, lekin, nafrat dur jaane nahi deti." Was this for Rudra or MJ?
Apart from this, there was nothing much in the family drama that I have to say, and everyone is so eager to pair up Ananya with Rudra which I am not interested in. MJ is like a hero to everyone here except his own family. I want to know what is the problem here? But precap suggests that MJ is now alert. Ab dekhte hai what is his next move. I think he will assign spies on his sons to know who wants to hurt his sons. What do you people say?
