Anurag gripped her knuckles and pulled out a ring from his pocket. " Marry me!" Anurag gleamed with hope while Prerna flinched her hands back.

“Nothing personal! You see."she cleared her throat and walked out of his cabin. She was burning with anger thus she took frantic steps to her cabin and found Rishabh seated on her chair.
She literally ran up to him and wrapped him up in a bone crushing hug."Priyu!Please na yaar office toh dekh le!" Rishabh cringed and hugged her back tightly.
"Leh* phir kisne propose mara!!" Rishabh straightened her frame and wiped her crocodile like tears away.
"Us Basu ke bacche ne..!! " she huffed.
"leh* bol bhi diyaa..! Handsome hai yaar waise woh...kabse tere piche fielding kar raha hai...haan bol de na.....Majnu hai Tera upar se paise wala bhi.. Aish karegi tu haan!"Rishabh winked.
"Tereko koi farkk nhi padhta if I get married to him." Prerna stiffened her jaw.

"Toh tu mujhse pyaar nhi karta!" Prerna looked into his eyes.

Prerna hide her tears in her smirk and hugged him tightly.
A week hushed away after that incident, Rishabh and Prerna were normal. Rishabh was finally relieved because Prerna for a change has stopped tinkling that" Marry me!!! " phrase. He was happy to get his bestie back like before.Everything was normal or he thought everything to be. It was the newest Monday of a fresh week when a couple walked in hand in hand thus grabbing an ounce of eyeballs.
Rishabh turned his face and his breath got hitched more because he caught a solitaire twinkling on her ring finger. Anurag and Priyu walked past them and Anurag pecked Prerna temple before walking inside his cabin.
Rishabh was taken aback but a lion’s share of his heart was hurt because his one and only best friend has started hiding things from him that too something this significant.
Prerna walked up to Rishabh and hugged him tightly." Rishu patahh hai...Anurag proposed me woh bhi full yashraj style mein...banda genuine haii yaar...merese saccha wala pyaar karta hai...!!!" Prerna broke the hug and caressed her solitaire.
"Teko propose kar diya usne! Par Kis liye?" Rishabh mouthed.
"For marriage obvio! Haan who bhi kal raat!!"Prerna chimed and dragged him inside her cabin.
"Meko bol sakti thi ek baar!!" Rishabh gripped her knuckles making it white.
"Arryee Tu khush hai na...tu mere liye jaisa banda chahta tha...Anurag exactly waisahi haiii...!!" Prerna jumped.
"Tu khush hai na!!" Rishabh caressed her cheek lovingly.
"Bohot Rishu.! Tu sahi tha yaar Anurag best hai!" Prerna chipped dreamily and the next moment she was in Rishabh arms.
"Tu khush toh sab khush!" he huffed but really was he happy.
"aaj lunch saath karte hai chal...!!" Rishabh circled his arm around her shoulder.
"Lunch?” Rishabh asked.
“Emmm kal chale.! Aaj who Anurag ke apartment Jana tha...kuch kaam tha use!!" Prerna veiled her blush by a plastic smile.
"Apartment? Uske apartment kyun jayegii tuh.?" Rishabh cocked his brows.
"Woh..patah nhi usko meko kuch dikhana hai...!" Prerna smiled.
"Kuch zyada hi fast nhi ja rahe tum log..apartment and all..!" Rishabh squeezed her shoulder a bit.
"Ab shaadi toh 2 months me ho hi rhi hai humari..so I trust him..jaisa bhi hoga...merahi toh hai...!!" Prerna smiled dreamily. Rishabh felt a bit uncomfortable but he again hugged her tight and chipped.
" Tu jisme khush ho Priyu...!!"he pecked her forehead and settled on the couch of her cabin.
"Aa baith na!!" Rishabh asked her to sit beside him.
"Rukk..woh Anurag ki tie reh gayi hai mere ...pass..use pehna ke aati hun..!" Prerna pulled out a tie from her bag and walked out of her cabin.
"Isse ho kya gaya..hai..!! Tie and all...!! khud toh puri school life mujhse tie bandhwa ke gujari hai isne" Rishabh gulped. Everything was falling in it's right place, just the way he wanted but was he happy?
“Yes! I’m happy for her but Priyu ithna gf gf kyun act kar rahi hai..!" Rishabh frowned. He still kept waiting for her to come back but she didn't turn up. Soon he passed an hour and employee walked inside her cabin and informed Rishabh that Prerna has gone out with Anurag and would meet him directly tomorrow. Rishabh shook his head.
"Boyfriend hai who ab uska..!Main hu hi kaun?" his eyes welled up.
Rishabh was working in his cabin when his cell beeped and jumped in excitement because somehow,he expected a ping from Prerna but sadly it was from his friend who kind of asked him to join him this evening on the occasion of his anniversary. Rishabh politely turned him down.
"Haan! mom bolo..!" Rishabh was in his car and was heading back home when his mom ringed him.
"Woh aateh waqt Priyu ke liye jo b'day gift ka order diya tha jeweler se woh pick karte hue aanaa!!" his mom chimed.
"Hmmm...!!" he concentrated on the road.
"Rishu is everything alright na beta low sound kar raha hai...!!" Renu cringed.
"Ya mom! actually I’m very happy today. Finally, apni Priyu ko uska prince charming mil gaya!!" Rishabh animated his voice.
"Kyaaa? !"Renu exclaimed.
"Kya! Kya??" Rishabh mouthed.
"Uske sar se Tera bhoot finally utar gaya....acchii baat haii...becharii kab tak...try karti... Finally, she got someone jo usse bhi uthna hi pyaar karta hai...jithna woh tujh.. !!" Renu stopped.
"Mom! mujhse kya!!??" Rishabh exclaimed.
"kuch nhi..I’m just very happy for my doll." Renu hanged up. Rishabh frowned a little and shook his head.
"Pyaar nhi karti thi woh mujhse!!" he groaned. Soon he reached home and unlike his usual evenings Prerna was not there to nag and bother him.
"Aachaa hai,.. nhi hai...nhi toh ek kaam nhi toh!" he huffed rummaging his cupboard while his phone buzzed and again, he jumped like a chimpanzee to pick it up but again it was not Prerna" no I don’t want to open an account in your bank...!!" Rishabh shouted and chucked his phone hard on the bed.
Few days went like this soon he completes a week minus Prerna cause his best friend was constantly busy pampering her new found boyfriend. It was one Monday night,when Rishabh called her up.
Prerna picked it up after the 4th ring." haan Rishu bol..!" she chimed.
"Priyu ghar aa abhi..!" he ordered.." abhiii !" she exclaimed.
"abhi aa...bola na!!" he roared.
"aachaa aa rahi hun!!" she hanged up and within 10 mins she was standing at his doorstep.
Renu opened the door and Prerna hugged her tightly.
"Suna hai Maine sab!!" Renu winked.
"Banda accha hai...!!" Prerna showed his mom her solitaire." so shaadi kab?"Renu pecked her forehead.
"2 months...!!" Prerna shook her head...Renu was about to quip something.
When Rishabh roared. "Prerna!"
"Ab ise kya huaaa!!??" Prerna frowned.
"Dopeher se khana pina chor ke sab pe wholesale mein temper lose kiye ja raha hai..!" Renu frowned.
"Apka beta pagla gaya hai.." Prerna chuckled.
"Jake sambhaal phir..!!" Renu rubbed her shoulders a bit.
"Main hi kyun...?Haan..ab biwi Lao uski!!" Priyu stopped in the middle.
"Sach mein lau..!!" Renu clutched her hand while Priyu shook her head and mouthed " kuch banatii hun main uske liye...!" she blinked some drops away and sprinted inside the kitchen after some 20 mins, she walked inside his room with his favorite pasta and juice.
Rishabh was busy messing up his room, his room nearly resemble the ruins of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He glared her as she walked inside his room and latched the door behind her.
"What the hell is all this Rishu?" she stiffened her jaw.
"File dhundh raha hun main!!" he looked away.
"Thappar khayegaa??" Prerna placed the plate near the tv table and
gripped his collars.
"Yeh! sab kaun saaf karega haan!!" she yelled. Rishabh cupped her face once and hugged her tightly the next moment.
"Tu karegiii.." he merged their bodies.
"Oye Rishu hua kya hai tujhe!! Haan!! Saara room aise haan!!" Priyu hugged him tightly and rubbed her palms on his back.
"Tuhh chup reh bass!!" Rishabh hushed her kissed her hair.
"Aareyhh chor!! Room saaf karke ghar bhi Jana hai...woh Anurag aa raha hai meko pick karne!!" she blushed.
Rishabh hugged her even tightly. " Rishu kya kar raha.... My GOD it’s suffocating."
She faked a cough."Ek raat nhi reh sakti mere saath !"
Rishabh broke the hug and gripped her shoulders." Tujhe patah hai na kal kya hai and Anurag wants to make it special for me. "Prerna smiled and finger combed his messed-up mane. Rishabh kept looking at her while Priyu poised his appearance.
"Main bhi kuch laya tha tere liye...but now I don't think meri koi value hai...tere liye !!" Rishabh looked away.
"Rishu main teko pehle bhi warn kiya tha na ke chup chup ke "saath nibhana saathiya" na dekh....kya gopi vahu stamped dialogues mar raha hai...!" she went on her toes and pecked his cheek.
"Tuja yaar..apne bf ke pass...dost ko koi value nhi reh gayi ab!!" Rishabh pushed her.
"Okay!" she turned and was about unlatch the door, when a pair of beefy arms got wrapped around her waist and pulled her close.
"Thappar marunga agar hili bhi toh..Tere boyfriend ko bol...tere pe first and foremost right mera hai...aur kisi ka nhi..!" he closed his eyes while Prerna caressed his cheek a little.
"Rishu! Anurag??!" Prerna cringed.
"Use bol...! Dinner karke so jane ko...! Coz like every year Tera b'day tu mere saath hi celebrate karegiii!" Rishabh pecked her cheek.
"Rishu agreed but things are a bit different now Anurag is very much an integral part of my life. Boyfriend hain woh mera 2 mahino mein we are getting married and I can't snub him like this!!"
Prerna caressed his cheek and cuddled closer to Rishabh. Rishabh tightened his grip around her and mouthed.
"Sidhe point pe aa!" he snorted.
" Tere backyard pe bulate hai Anurag ko...cakeKat te hai...phir I will spend some time with him...uske baad tere pass aajaungii...phir pehle ki tarahh puri raate masti karengee...!!" Priyuturned around and pinched his nose.
"Ithna kya special ho gaya tere liye woh...!"Rishabh huffed.
"He is my would-be husband Rishu and it’s my luck ke Anurag bohot aacha andsorted hai..mujhe princess ki tarahh treat karta hai...!!" Priyu smiled. Rishabh gripped her knuckle and wrapped his arm around her waist. " uske liye mujhe bhool gayi tu?Haan!!" his eyes were different, different was his voice.
"Rishu kyaaa hua hai tujhe? Shaadi karwani padhegi Teri bhiii..!!" Prerna giggled.
Rishabh was busy devouring her lips with his gaze." Anurag ko bol na aane ko...!!" his voice was firm.
"He is my boyfriend Rishu!" Priyu matched her gaze with his.
"I said woh nahi aayegaa!!!" he squeezed her waist." aahhhh Rishu!!"Prerna squealed.
"aaahhh chhor.!!" Priyu hissed in pain as he crawled his fingers inside her top and pinched her there.
"nhi chorungaaa!!" Rishabh yanked her close.
"dimaag sanak gaya hai...tera... Yeh chichori harkatein chhor..!!"Prerna glared him.
"kuch naya nhi kar raha main chuaa hai Maine teko yahan pehle bhi bohot bar..tere bf ko bol Dena!!" Rishabh smirked.
"Use koi fark nhi padhegaa...woh merese ithna pyaar karta hai..!!" Priyu tried to push him away but Rishabh grabbed her wrist and twisted it to yank her close.
“Aachaa!! Kithna haan..!!! Terese kithna pyaar karta hai...ek solitaire khareed ke apne apko Tera fiancée samajh raha hai..tab kahan tha jab teko fever hotahh tha and meri need udd jati Thi and tab jab tere liye main roz line mein khade hoke roj siddhivinyak ke modak laata tha so that tuh class mein top Kare and haan tab jab tuhhh coma mein thi 6 months and maine padhai chod dhi thi and almost sab kuch to get you back..!!" Rishabh slowly turned her around Tears were toppling in her orbs.
Rishabh cocooned her in a warm hug and pecked her lips. Prerna was too numb to react at it.
"Priyu kaun hai woh...bf ka tag lagake ghumta hai...!!" he caged her tightly.
"Ab rona mat raashi vahu..!" he cheeks and pecked her little red nose.
"Apne body part ke liye ithna nhi kar saktiii stay with me tonight without any interruptions. I want to make you feel special." He hushed.
"I hate you." Prerna looked away. " I hate you more." he pecked her forehead.
"Ron yeh sab suddenly kya hai yaar...samajh Anurag boyfriend hai mera use kaisa lagega if I avoid him on my own birthday." Priyu kept her head on his chest.
"Tune hi toh bola barah understanding haii... Toh he will understand...ke tere liye pehle main aata phir the entire goddamn world...!" Rishabh smirked.
Prerna broke the hug and cupped hid cheeks, " and for you?" she caressed his cheek a little.
Rishabh pecked her forehead and engulfed her in a tight hug." 5 more minutes to go..! Phir Tera happy birthday...!" Rishabh broke the hug and quickly cleared a portion of his typhoon-stricken bed. Rishabh made her sit there and hushed " 2 min rukh main abhi aayaa!!"
Rishabh lingered his finger on her chin a bit and as he stepped out of his room. Her phone buzzed and it was Anurag.
"Baby I’m waiting outside your place kahan ho tum..!!?" Anurag was irritated.
"Rishu ke pass Hun..!" Prerna mouthed.
"Raat ke 12 baje akele ek ladke ke saath..I mean are you like serious. "Anurag frowned.
"He is not " koi bhi ek ladka." he is Rishu meri family hai woh..!!" Prerna stated firmly.
"Phir bhiii... Anyways I want to meet right now... Address bolo I’m picking you up."Anurag smiled.
"Anurag umm not tonight kal miltee hai mera ron har saal sabse pehle mera b'day celebrate karta hai...so please!!" Priyu explained.
" Mera rishu..!!!!!!!!!Haan!! Things have changed and samjha do na use...!" Anurag commanded her.
"I can't hurt him...woh jo bolega mujhe karna padhega!!" Prerna stated calmly.
"In that case I want us to get hitched in a week." Anurag hanged up.
"In a week! Anurag what's wrong with you." Prerna exclaimed.
"Baby you love me right so shaadi 7 days mein ho ya 7 hours mein..what’s the big deal." Anurag smirked.
"Ya right !!"Prerna huffed meanwhile the clock alarmed 12 am and someone hugged her from behind.
"Happy birthday!” Rishabh hushed in her ear. Anurag was still on line.
"Happy birthday sweetheart!" he mouthed but Priyu disconnected the call and turned around to hug Rishabh with all her strength.
"Kaun tha phone pe? Uncle!" Rishabh caressed her hair a bit." No Anurag."Priyu closed her eyes.
Rishabh caged her in his arms tightly. " hmm!"
" Terese kuch puchna tha!?"Rishabh broke the hug and placed her on the bed.." kya!!"
Priyu smiled but instead of asking the question he placed a cake before her.
"Happy birthday Priyu !" he smiled her eyes brimmed with tears of unspoken happiness and want. Soon she sliced out a sumptuous piece of that creamy delight and forced it inside his mouth. Rishabh replicated her actions and he placed the cake aside.
" Priyu ankhein band kar!!" he placed his palm on her eyes and pecked her nose and soon her ring finger felt empty and next moment another metal ring filled the void. Her heartbeat stopped for a nanosecond.
Priyu opened her eyes with jolt to find him eyeing her ring finger with utter enchantment and bliss. Priyu placed her free palm on his cheek and a drop trickled down her amber orbs.
"Isn't it pretty?" Rishabh gripped her knuckle and pulled it up.
"Very pretty” Prerna caressed his cheek slowly. She felt as if she has achieved something, something very precious..." happy birthday
Priyu!!" Rishabh fused his gaze with that of hers." Rishu !!" she inched closer and rested her head on his chest and hushed," kuch bolna nhihai teko mujhe!!" she felt her heart throbbing on her tongue.
"ya...happy birthday !!" he pecked her temple." aur kuch...!!" she lifted her face and bit her lip.
"ya I wanted to ask you something?" he gripped her shoulders and placed heron the bed.
"bolna!!" she was waiting for him to chip those three magical words with batted breath.
Rishabh knelt down in front of her and took her hands in his hands."
