my 2 cents my dear friend ... even though you and i know this is just a phase that will pass, try and think more consciously of this fact and just take one day at a time. Dont think beyond one day and just in a day find few mins to do what you love most!! Let the storm come in ... no worries .... that will fly by. It might destroy something ... thats OK. Nothing is finite than death and that too will come in its own time. I feel that a Dr or a psychiatrist play the role of a listener, thats all. If that will help then go ahead.

I dont get depressed very easily bec i dont let it seep in my mind at all, but when i am a tad sad i do what i love the most and i bounce back.

Dont mind if i have said anything untoward!! :)

We were not talking about just getting depressed because of some issues. We were talking about clinical depression-the disease occurred by hormonal imbalance and some other bodily occurences that messes with the brain functions (specially emotions and concentration and will power). It can happen without any situational reason. It's normal like any disease like malaria or typhoid but acts like an invisible wound that neither can be seen nor can be explained nor can be measured with a thermometer or stethoscope. Unfavorable circumstances can make it worse but that's not the mandatory cause. Apparently a person can seem like having a perfect life but still can have depression because it's a physical disease that affects the mind. About medical help---I personally don't know but Vyapti said her dr. gave her medication and that helped her in the long run.

Bold: come on !! We are all friends. You are trying to help and it's the thought that matters. ❤️🤗

Interesting discussion between Vyapti, Moumi and Gayatri.🤗

You were talking about depression, just sharing my thoughts here in this context.

Why sometimes we are worried about the issues which are at times sounds very big ones but some times the same are not issues at all to ponder!! Why worry a lot? Yes... these are the issues you agonize over choices you make, opportunities you let go, heartbreaks, loneliness, ill health, or not finding the right person to love and live with. In short, do we find ourselves worrying about every little thing? We worry because we believe that everything in life is the direct result of our efforts!! What if you were told that you have no control over life no matter what you do? Would that comfort you, because it takes you off the hook? You would then only be lucky or unlucky – a puppet in the hands of an omnipotent Fate against which you wage a futile battle, much like a character in Thomas Hardy’s novels.

But let us not subscribe to such a depressing and unlikely view. Using our own experiences as learning curves, it isn’t difficult to deduce that the truth, as always, is somewhere between the two extremes.

Humans are stubborn. We refuse to learn from the wisdom of lifetimes. The only knowledge we accept is what gets automatically ingested into our DNA. We rebel against the rest, till life teaches us the same lessons patiently, all over again. No matter how many maxims we hear, we need to live through the ups and downs to understand that ‘when one door shuts, another opens’; ‘whatever happens, happens for the best’; ‘everything happens for a reason’; ‘go with the flow’; ‘bide your time’, or ‘lean into the moment’ !

Let us come back to the starting point --the curiosity!! Curiosity and doubt are the defining qualities of human intellect. No development – physical, mental, moral or spiritual — would be possible without questioning or doubting what exists. And yet we cannot let questions take over our lives. Sometimes you just have to bide your time. Believe it, life has a way of sorting itself out. Have not our own experiences taught us that?!!! There are times when you have to learn to live with your questions. In time you will get most of the answers. Sometimes you will also get answers to questions you never knew were bothering you. And, at times the questions themselves just fade away, become redundant — and you no longer need any answers!!!!

Worrying about anything never resolves problems. Sometimes we just have to do our best and let the rest resolve itself in time. And that is when life kicks in and smoothens out the ripples. So long as you remain firm to your principles and follow your instinct, you can confidently place your faith in life and where it takes you.I am sure life takes us to a far off destination, where there is sky with Sun as well as sparkling stars in the darkness, there are spring and autumn too, there will be smiles and satisfaction, besides those tears and thoughtless moments. That is called life !!! All those moments are for us .... only for us... the humans, who are crusaders from beginning till the end!!🤗❤️🤗Everyone is a serious thinker here in our forum with so many sensitive feelings and sentiments --- means a great friend to you , me and everyone! 🤗

As I said earlier, worrying is not the cause for clinical depression, hormonal imbalance is. Just like you can't cure polycystic ovary syndrome by not worrying about stuff, the same goes with depression and anxiety disorders.

Worrying is not even a symptom of clinical depression. On the contrary, you stop worrying or even caring about anything. You just want to curl up in your bed and watch the world pass by while you blatantly stare. Even if your house is on fire, you don't want to get up, you don't want to talk to anyone. You just close your eyes with absolute indifference. Throughout this time, somehow you manage to feel like some worthless shit the world will be better off without ( though in reality, you might be the kindest person ever alive ). That's how depression messes with your brains.

The worrying you are talking about is the symptom of anxiety disorder. The more intense case of that are panic attacks which are sudden and awful. Can even ruin your career or even life. Imagine having a panic attack in the middle of a busy road or an ongoing meeting. In anxiety disorder, you even feel worried about asking the bus conductor about the bus fare. And not feeling that is not in your control. Trust me, if these were in the person's control, there would have been no mental health patient in the world. Just like you can't cure or even soothe pneumonia patients by telling them why a fever is not worth having or why they shouldn't have that fever, the same goes with mental disorders. It's just hard to understand from a different reference frame because unlike pneumonia, this can't be seen or confirmative tested.

I might not be entirely factually correct. Suta would know better because she is the one in medical school. If you want to know more about mental health awareness in today's world, you can google. There are a lots of research going currently. Even there are beautiful poems about this in youtube. We even have a mental awareness day/month each year clarifying people of the misconceptions regarding this.
