Arjun Kapoor is not happy about the trolling around panipat.

Yeh toh Kangoli ki tarha bolne laga 😆 Nice. Bollywood's new tactic is to make a patriotic historical movie and then use it as a shield to protect their mediocrity. Nobody was trolling the real character or the story, they were trolling Arjun and the movies presentation cus they didn't like him. But apparently trolling him is equivalent to trolling martyrs now.

And its rich coming from a guy who didn't even pick a book to actually read the real story or about the martyrs that he is of so suddenly concerned about but just relied on his director and his version of the story.

Agreed.

I think they are panicking the negative wave against Arjun's casting as lead will affect the BO (not an unfounded fear, TBH) and now PR teams and other affiliates are trying to help the movie trying PR tactics of GUILT-TRIPPING the public, to try minimise the negativity.

I cannot blame them for trying to stop this wave..their 'bread' is on the line..

...But I will forever question Ashutosh's skills / choices on casting his actors if he decided on Arjun (whether movie becomes a semit hit, a hit or it flops).

*And if Arjun came with a condition: ''we give you budget to make Panipat on condition of casting Boney's son, Arjun, as the main lead''..then Ashutosh should come out and say it, before he loses any more credibility.

I guess Ashutosh didn't really have many options after Mohenjodaro. Its a fact that no A lister will work with a director who is not currently successful. Given the big budget of the movie he still needed somebody with some popularity to find public attention. If I remember correctly he also signed Arjun when he wasn't flopping this badly so maybe he just thought through the business point of view and zeroed in on whatever options he was left with.

What MoonOrchid said above, there’s a sense of panic. And it may be due to Arjun. Even the songs aren’t making an impact and both are very nice songs. But you look at the video and you just can’t take Arjun seriously as a warrior.

The only intelligent post so far on why Ashutosh casted Arjun.

To add to this, he had two flops before Mohenjodaro. After giving 3 back to back flops, no big name A lister will work with you.

And we are not happy about Arjun Kapoor being in Bollywood.

No one trolled any matyr or freedom fighter, they only trolled the onscreen depiction of these great people by incompetent actors... Ajay's portrayal of Tanhaji not getting trolled is a testament to this fact only.
