CHAPTER 7
All the lights went dim in the party and Sameer appeared there with a girl by his side. Arjun walked a little forward to have look of the person with Sameer. As soon as his eyes caught her, a very big smile appeared on his face and even the lights went back to their normal glow. The smile on Arjun’s face doesn’t go unnoticed by Sakshi.
The girl in no time ran towards Arjun and hugged him tightly and even Arjun reciprocated her in the same way. After a few moments, they broke the hug. And all these things that were happening in front of their eyes, shell shocked Sakshi and Liza.
“Kaisi ho tum?”asked Arjun while holding her by her shoulder.
“Main toh thik hun, par manna padega aap toh pehle jaise thein waise hi ho... handsome”said the girl and winked at him. She then turned to meet others.
“Hey Shree, How are you?”asked the girl
“Main toh bilkul thik, but you have become more beautiful,”said shree and side hugged her.
“Isko flirt karne se fursat hi nahi hai...jahan dekho wahan shuru ho jaata hai” mumbled Liza under her breathe. The girl walked up to Chotu
“Aur aapke kya haal hai?”asked the girl to chotu
“Jaisa tha waisa hi hun”said chotu and side hugged her
“Hey Ayesha di, you are looking so beautiful,”said the girl and hugged Ayesha tightly.
“Thanks baby, btw main kuch puchu?”asked Ayesha
“Arre...aap puchiye...aapko meri permission mangne ki zaroorat nahi” said the girl.
“Tum Shree aur Chotu ko naam se bulati ho par mujhe di kyu?”asked Ayesha. The girl moved a little closer to Ayesha
“Kyuki Sam bhai mujse bade hai” whispered the girl in Ayesha’s ear and Ayesha smiled.
Then she walked towards Sakshi and Liza and smiled to them.
“Aap dono mujhe nahi jante par main aap ko janti hun, okay, so, first I will give my introduction to you”said the girl
“Main” the girl started
“Arjun sir ki jaan hai, Ananya Rawte”said shree cutting her short
“Hello, Sakshi di and Liza di and you can call me Anya”said Anya
“You can call me just... Liza” said Liza
“Okay, as you wish Liza” said Anya
“Ananya rawte arjun ki”said Sakshi and everyone heard her and looked at her and Arjun was confused
“bahan hu”said Anya and smiled. And a relief expression came on sakshi’s face
The party then resumed.
Next day
Arjun’s home
On the breakfast table
“bhai mai aaj aap ke saath etf office chalna chahti hun please”
“par tum wahan kya karogi aake,I mean ki agar koi case hua toh hum sab case solve karne mein busy ho jayaenge then you will feel bored”
“main cases ki files padhungi, please”
“Ok” said Arjun with a smile
“thank u” Anya then hugged him.
At the etf office
Everyone except Sameer and Ayesha was in the cafeteria and talking when they saw Anya and Arjun coming. Anya excitedly walked towards them and Arjun went directly to his cabin.
“Hi everyone”said Anya
“Hi”said all in unison
“Tum office mein kaise?”asked shree and walked towards Anya and kept his hand on her shoulder
“Ghar pe bore ho jaati isiliye office aa gayi”said anya
“Acha kiya” said Chotu
“Haan, bahut acha kiya” said Shree and then looked at Liza and added, “tum rahogi toh mujhe acha lagega nahi toh kuch log toh sirf mood off kartey hai”
Liza gave a look to Shree and walked towards Anya
“Haan Anya, tumne bahut acha kiya but ek cheez ka dhyaan rakhna...Shree se door rehna warna ye tumhe bhi apni bakwaas se pagal kar dega”
“Liza” said Shree
“What? Mr. Specky Sen” said Liza and before he could say anything more, she walked away from there to the conference room. Shree turned to Anya
“Uski baaton pe dhyaan mat dena” said Shree
“Liza ne tumhare naam… Specky Sen rakha hai?..cute” said Anya
“Anya..please, it’s not cute” said Shree irritatingly.
Anya then walked to Sakshi who was standing their listening to their baseless talks and smiling.
“Hume toh baat karne ka kal mauka hi nahi mila” said Anya
“Haan...par koi baat nahi ab kar lenge” said Sakshi
“Anya” called Chotu from behind. Anya looked at him.
“Be careful, Sakshi bahut batein karti hai tum suntey suntey thak jaogi” said Chotu and both Shree and Chotu laughed.
“Seriously Shree?” said Sakshi
Shree looked at Chotu
“Chal bhai..bahut kaam hai” said Shree and they left.
Anya then looked at Sakshi
“Sakshi Di, agar aap free ho toh kya hum baith kar baat kar saktey hai”
“Yeah sure”
Then they took a table in a corner and Sakshi sat there. Anya went towards the counter and asked for a coffee. She then arrived at their table and sat down. she took a sip of the coffee.
“Sakshi di, vo mujhe aapki likhi hui case ki reports padhni thi” said Anya
“Kyu?”
“Actually, I am doing LLB, and mujhe criminal lawyer banna hai..so”
“Haan kyu nahi..main tumhe raw copies de dungi..because jo hum newspaper mein print hone ke liye dete hai, usmein kuch kuch cheezen mention nahi kartey warna public mein ek dar aa jata hai”
“Oh..okay...thank you”
“Btw, tumhe kaise pata chala ki main reports likhti hun?”
“Bhai ne bataya..keh rahe thein ki aap bahut acha likhti hai”
“What?...Arjun ne aisa kaha?” asked Sakshi softly out of amusement.
“Haan...kyu, bhai aapki tareef nahi kartey kya?”
“Kartey hai na...itni tareef kartey hai ki..kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki taunt hi maar rahe hai. Personality ke thoda opposite hai na” said Sakshi with a fake smile while looking at Arjun who was at some distance and talking to someone.
After a few moments, Arjun felt that someone was looking at him. He turned towards Sakshi and found her looking at him. They had an eye lock for few seconds and this didn’t go unnoticed by Anya.
Anya smiled and silently went from there without disturbing them.
