First of all why is she wanting to wear saree life long. New bride i understand she should wear, possible for two three weeks or even a month, who these days wears it forever. And the justification for it is not satisfactory. She likes playing bahu on screen??! 😳What was that?! no sense that made.

And she's not even old school for it to be justified. She's a modern lady and an actress, for crying out loud,! She should be more fashion conscious! Going with the current trend. She's not seeming like an actress at all. Let's see how much she'll be involved in the house hold tasks or how much will be expected of her considering she's a busy working professional. Please don't show her being super human in doing both to the T. Realism please.

Indian telivision is known for setting unrealistic standards for DILs. I didn't mind Sonakshi preparing breakfast frit he family on first day or getting all decked up. It was her first day and it was understood that she was all excited. I even ignored the fact that she fell off that huge height some 12 hours back and should be experiencing body pain. But this wearing only sari is too much. Sona never wore normal jeans and top but atleast she could have continued wearing what she wore before. She is shown to be an actress but they are portraying her as someone too dated. No one in Sippy family wears sari all the time. I'm not saying wearing sari is old fashioned but why all the time. Who does that? I won't be surprised if the Sippy family makes fun of Sona saying she is possessed by Parvati.

I really hope KHKT portray realism here. I don't think ITV realise how they are affecting the society by showing the "perfect" daughter in laws.

Maybe they thought that audience won’t accept seeing their bahus in anything other than sarees. Maybe that is also why RoNakshi got married in a hurry. Maybe they felt that TV audience are not accepting the leads roaming around bf and gf without getting married. Unfortunately this is true. Some shows do better after leads get married and most of the famous TV bahus are saree clad (not that wearing saree is bad)

I watch this show, Ye Hai Mohabbatein. Ishita as always been a traditional woman so it makes sense that she likes wearing sarees all the time (Even Ishita wore long gowns during Budapest track). But one strange thing I have observed is all female characters switch completely to sarees after getting married. This character Aliya used to wear shorts on the show before she got married and after her husband died. But whenever she was married (be it to Adi or Rohan or Yug), she always wore sarees and nothing else. Strange.

During wedding and post wedding it’s nothing but a disappointment. I see it’s going the usual saas bahu saga which I didn’t sign up for.

It’s kind of silly that all of a sudden a woman sheds her entire identity and way of living after marriage in these ITV Serials

All of a sudden they are sanskari lady ..nonsense

I said mostly.

For that matter even Ishita is not always in sarees.
BTW some of the characters are not favourite among TRP audience.

Even Ishita wore modern outfits for around 6 months and the TRPs were very high.

I said in general, TV bahus (in shows with high TRP) wear sarees.

I believe that they don’t want to lose on the audience who are so used to see the FL in saree. But YRKKH has Naira wearing such great dresses and it’s the no 1 show currently.

That is so true. I haven’t seen any top tv actress of nowadays wearing saree on their photgram / Instagram. And if they are talking about married working woman , then who wears saree, mangalsutra , sindoor everyday ?? Even I am married and work but haven’t worn all the above anytime other than special occasion and so does other women in my company.

One step at a time, I hope.

Everything seem a little rushed post wedding.

Our leads are back to work & the day after their wedding was used only for Sona's cooking spree.

Cute Ronakshi here & there but hoping for better episodes soon.

Rohan-Pari are acting like real couple instead of Ronakshi 😆
