In the show, Shyam was venomous and a fraud. Here, he is an entirely different character. Yes, he has his flaws and he is selfish too, but the same as that of the show.

And that is why I am surprised cos I never expected him to love Anjali. In the show, he was fake and his love too.

But knowing your character, he is bound to be real. Hence, I am confused.
