Sadly no one was awarded the Katyar this week (judges felt both performances had flaws) though I felt Shravani deserved it because she had to sing 2 songs and also her first song had been given Genius by both judges.

Akshaya was back in her elements with another flawless performance but I somehow felt her Mahi Ve and Dama Dam were far more intense compared to her today's performance.

Why am I not surprised by what happened today! (haven't watched yet)

With more attention given to their getup and Sachin P's stories from the past, this was bound to happen.

Yes, a lot more time spent on Sachin P's shayari and stories from his past. RD che songs though melodious and entertaining have been done to death in such contests. They should find some unique gems of RD which are plenty. Too much attention and time is spent on clothes and accessories including that of the judges and then they all look like caricatures. Except Mahesh Kale. 😊

The whole motive of getting Sachin as the super guest and putting up RD songs this week was to promote his upcoming RD based commercial show this weekend.

I forget that all these shows are used are promotion vehicles for other TV shows, movies, plays and in this case stage shows. It is sad that everything boils to money at the end of the day and nothing is ever done selflessly or without any ulterior motive.

I am sure Pt. Hridaynath will also be there in coming weeks unless he is busy attending his elder sister in hospital.

What else they will do ? There is a lot of repetition. And why so many hindi songs ? All non-Maharashtrian singers are mostly singing only Hindi songs. Come on, ha Marathi show ahe. Some songs can be Hindi but here almost more than 50% songs are in Hindi.

I think they should really keep more gap between 2 seasons to avoid monotony. This season was started only about 7-8 months after last season ended in around Jan-Feb, I think.
