Babita and HS will loom largely in S2 via Mini-Arya. Makes me wanna watch tomorrow's episode just to see Hanita's kid but I don't know if I can anymore 😒

The mere idea of them being dead is ripping me apart. I can't even think of such a thing happening to them aur KK ne toh kar diya. 😡
Part of me wants too as well because Minnie will finally be going back to the Haveli, but then it'll solidify their death and make it all too real.

@TM, idk if it's already debated upon, but since I am not an ardent regular follower, can you fill me up on this unethical treatment to the lead characters? If possible, or direct me to some thread where it's all clarified? 🤗 Or if someone else can, I'd be grateful. Today's was just sad. Just SAD. I felt so bad looking at the HS scenes today. Whoever conceptualised it, did it really well. But it breaks my heart. Also, the phone call scene was also a dream or was that reality?

I wasn't gonna watch today's episode but I didn't have work so I decided to watch it also because I wanted to find out what happens to Hanita. And kal bhi itna rulaya aur aaj toh mera dil chir chir hogaya. 😭😭
The Precap just made me even more emotional. Mini wearing Babita's outfit, and the way Arya said "Mumma, and tum Papa ki veer balika ho" 😒. I always wanted to see Hanita's kid but not like this.
I thought Arya would call Babita "Babes", but I guess she calls her "Mumma", and HS "Papa" ... but this is just so heartbreaking 💔

I'll fill you in on as much as I can. If I leave something out, then hopefully someone can fill it in.
Circa Episode 180, there was a shift in the story line wherein Babita started to get less screen space and her character started to go against the core of what she was originally presented as. We never got her point of view on certain matters, and moments where she was right to stand up for herself were written off as her being egoistic.
The wedding track was originally conceptualized as being a simple affair but it later changed to a grand, and lavish celebration that was very unlike PB. Late night shoots for the wedding were suddenly conducted and all the tracks that were originally opened up like HS' childhood trauma were never again addressed. Instead, we began to see a degradation in Babita's character wherein she was made out to be beyond idiotic and needed every little thing to be drilled into her head. HS too, was being sidelined and was being given the bare minimum to work with while the maximum amount of screen space was being given to Minnie and all the other side characters.
Paridhi had quite often shaded her character in interviews so it was apparent that she was unhappy about the way Babita was turning out to be. Then, rumors were spread about a potential leap happening, Minnie being displeased with Babita's pregnancy among others. The actors, and the PH were constantly contacted about what's true and what's not but only Aniruddh addressed the matter. In a live session, he stated that there was no leap happening. Then, weeks later, shortly before Diwali, news broke out in a Times of India article that both Paridhi and Aniruddh's characters being axed and the show taking a five year leap with Ashnoor as the protagonist. Paridhi's statement went something along the lines of her not being happy about how her character was turning out to be. She also didn't have any intention of being a part of the show post leap, and she would have left on her own. Aniruddh simply commented on how he was grateful for being given the chance to play a feminist character like Hanuman. Also, it was revealed that the actors were informed of their characters being axed over the phone, not in person.
The media was banned from entering the set but they still tried to contact the actors separately. SBS had even gone to Aniruddh during Diwali but he refused to comment on the matter. The next few days passed by wherein we speculated how long Paridhi and Aniruddh will stay on based on their activities on social media.
For their last episode, Aniruddh and Paridhi were to go to Manali to shoot the dream sequence. However, only Aniruddh went, while Paridhi didn't.
That's as far as I know. Dunno if I missed anything. But given how brutally Babita's character was butchered, it appears as if there was some sort of animosity between the PH and Paridhi but I can't say this a 100% certainty.
As for the phone call scene, that was in reality.

It was definitely something the way they made the two sisters meet. We've already speculated that Minnie will now have to be a mother to Arya. Minnie wearing Babes' clothes reinforced that. However, she can't be Babes. Like, Arya said, "Tum toh Papa ki Veer Balika ho." Minnie is Minnie. Whatever she does has to be as Veer Balika, as Minnie. No one else, not even Babes.
After all, it'll make no sense to make Minnie become Babes when she fought so hard to break Babita out of her "victimhood".
But HS finally had someone to call him Papa. 🥺
Jaisa bhi tha khush tha. And for him to leave Arya behind like this... I'm damn sure he went with a soaring heart thinking that he'll bring Minnie back and their small family will be complete again. But dekh na, kya hogaya. 😭😭
Hey, thanks a lot for the detailed explanation!! Really, thanks a lot. As far as the treatment of the actors is concerned, it was SHIT. Horrible. And Mini being right in S1, was more in tune but making her something like a shining misery in S2 is 👎🏼 However, there are some posts on the Forum that talk about how Babita's core was the same and it took a turn for the worse. And I stand by that, even though it was a shit story to watch, and see a beautiful show fall apart, I personally could very well relate to the progression, having watched the entire serial, for the most part, I felt more than Babita, HS' character took a back seat. And, even though it wasn't nice or happy to watch it, personally, I could relate to Babita's complicated character well, and maybe it's perceived as ruin by some, or the makers wanted it to be that way. Or, they wanted to show the complication and it came off as ruin. I don't know. But I believe, Babita as a character brought it upon her and though obviously the last couple of episodes were actually shit, well. Can't say much. I was super saddened to watch today's scenes with HS man. SO SAD it was. Also, when he did call her, how come Mini has no idea about a sister? Also, if there was a rift between Paridhi and PH, what about AD? Why was his character axed.?
