How much the title of the film effects it's box office collections?

Does an English title of a bollywood film effects it's reach towards the single screen audience? The highest grossing bollywood film with an English title is War which didn't even cross 300 Crores.

3 Idiots, Wanted and Race too.. short n catchy English title is fine

If they use title creatively in the movie that movie usually is a hit.

Aamir himself said that 3 Idiots would've earned more without the English title. Race was a multiplex movie. Salman movies are exception as he's king of single screens.

Negative titles (Or the titles which could be used in negative way) affect a movie if the movie is not great for mass or class. Negative title + Mediocre product = Disaster.

Interesting topic. I had never thought about it but sounds like there’s something to this theory.

yeh toh sach hai, especially big movies like Zero, Kalank, Besharam.
