False. In many cases these days, the team is trading on previous successes of the star/director/producer. Nothing artistic about it whatsoever. Only sheer laziness and contempt for the intelligence of the audience.

But the films being lauded in some circles are films no ones ever heard of in alot of cases 🤣

Although when it's asked which are the best bollywood films of all time, people all name all the Blockbuster films like Sholay, Mother India, Mughal-E-Azam, Hum Aapke Hain Koun etc. So yes, some blockbusters do represent a special form of artistry. The art of connecting with classes and masses alike.

In which case p*rnography would be the highest art form per Indian audience.🤣

PS. Not to discount the blockbusters which ARE cinema. But catering to lowest common denominator ain't it.

Blockbuster makers know their audience and that is a very special form of artistry😎, not many can achieve it and those who do achieve it find it difficult to replicate it constantly 👍🏼

It is tough in bollywood to make a blockbuster movie.

Think of making a movie under 10 Cr. and earning 100 Cr.

Is it possible ?

Or making a movie in 300 Cr. and making 1800 Cr.

Its very very tough. So it is more of economics rather than art form. Minimization of cost and maximization of profit.
