What went wrong with Yeh Rishta Kya Khelata hai?

I have not watched any of the papa hate track episodes consistently,so greetings guys hope you all are doing well. I have come to talk about someof the things that bothered me having watched the episode of the present boxarrival of kairav and him forgiving kartik.

I watched the episode cringing in all directions, Naira waspraised heavily for bringing kairav up so well suddenly remembered she was hismother and he is five and she just needed to explain things to him like anormal human. And everything was resolved because kartiks real wife was back.

For me those scenes of kartik talking about how he had doneso much wrong to his own father and naira for me were good scenes, even ofnaira trying to lesson his guilt by pointing out her own wrong doings.

For me that was a good utterly human scenes. When things go wrong,we think back and remember things we did and think its all punishments. I couldrelate with that scene. But then theyshowed me our little omen robots acting. God he is awful. And I swear I am notkid hating in any way shape or form or trying to bully the poor child. I justfeel that this isn’t for him. Maybe if he went to acting classes and improvedthen okay, but don’t literally shove him down our throats considering as akaira fan I want to see a little cutie pie as kaira’s kid. Someone who can act.Not someone mouthing dialogues with no expression. Vansh kid is talented he isadorable. They cast him right, he had more emotion in a two second scene thanany of the kairav kids scenes.

I am confused as to how Akhilesh came back in the show ifanyone can tell me that would be helpful then me having to watch all the episodes.Because at this point I really don’t want to they are really distastefulshowing Kaira having an emotional affair, while the real wife of kartik is MIA.

Now coming back to my original post, I saw Rajan shahis postabout nothing is bigger than the show. I love this man because I love the facthe created kaira. And what he had made momo and shivi. BUT

A big BUT.

He needs a reality check. Nothing is bigger than the showfor me is the biggest joke of the century. I feel if the show had an actualplot point besides revolving around kaira I could some what accept this. Ithink his team and him need to accept, that they screwed up.

There is no show without kaira. I know a lot of fans areconfused about his 2020 leap. But lets all face it there is no show withoutkaira(so obviously kaira will not be removed), and who did this they did. Thereis no character development of other characters, they hire actors who barely canact, because the ones that can get fed up with the lack of character growth andleave. A story that started out so strong with so many facets sort of lost it,with different characters, different plot points all relating to someone outthere.

Now its about faked deaths, abortions, terminal illnessesand hidden child births. How does this relate to anyone. Substance abuse,cheating and child pedophilia are shown but all revolving around kaira neitherdo the public get a feel of the characters going through these ordeals all theysee are the two focal characters handling everyone elses problems and shown laterperfectly incapable of dealing with their own problems. I think also along theway because so much attention was put into yeh rishte pyaar ke and making it dowell they made this show incredibly sloppy, but because of the fandoms of kairait was kept afloat.

Like Rajan Shahi kept this show so normal, and perfect when Naitikand Akshara were around, sure it was boring but they were not the thing theshow revolved around.

I think in making Yeh Rishte Pyaar ke they did one thing rightwas by making Kuhu have her own story line I think her story line for me is somuch more interesting than mishbir. And for some people kaira’s sweetness isnot for everyone, I think they need to explore adding new characters. Multiplelove stories etc. When was the last time we saw a love story, Keesh? All we getnow is separation and reunion. They made the essence of kaira a joke. They werea modern couple who tried to show us in this generation you can hold all theold values but still be family orientated etc…

But they literally both have become so unlikable. Andselfish.

There is nothing more important than showing their love angle,even the fact its immoral as kartik is married to rotlu chaaivala.

For me its disgusting to watch. To the point I literally don’twatch when rotlu or kairav come on. Both annoy me.

Why because in them only making everything about kaira I havecome to not want anything else and compare all the other peoples patheticacting to them.

I think at this point any more separations will makeeveryone pissed off, so rajan shahi thought a new story would be better. He willrewrite kaira’s love story. But I hate this as well why do we have to kill ofkaira. I love kaira. I want them to have a happy ending. Despite how unlikablethey have become because of the stretching of a dead story line that theyinduced.

I hope for rajan’s sake his gamble works out for him. ReallyI don’t wish any bad upon this show I adore. But I just want them to at leastrespect our feelings as fans. Seeing kaira divorce twice, and marry 100 times wasnot fun. At this point I think I will be happier seeing them not end uptogether because of all the proof they gave me they just are not good together.Whats the point of being with someone who makes your heart beat fast if thereis no trust?

Just because they believe that soulmates no matter how much separatedwill always be together/end up together, that seems childish to me. And farfetched, I know what you are thinking, its just a show its meant to make youbelieve in larger than life characters, I am sorry but its marketed for beingreal…

At least with Ekta, the villains are what they are villains.And the main characters even though stupid are not as evil as kaira have becomewhile making vedika mahaan.

Mr bajaj was an anti hero and became a real hero that was sodamn attractive in the end. Vedika lacks that kind of charm. She has the screenspace, but literally its sickening to watch her, without your skin crawling I reallytried to be logical with her but I feel like I have had enough. So see everyonenext year when they make the big change hope its good and not sloppy…

A part of me Still thinks that rajan should let the show gosomewhat, and move on. let shivin moveon don’t hold their careers back. I would love to see shivangi playing ageappropriate roles I don’t want to see her as a mom. And I want to see momo playa typical khadoos boss/or a grey character... lol anya’s fantasy. Rajan should maybe focus his energy on a new show, new characters, new actors...

And we should all let kaira live in our memories… it was good while it lasted...

Akhil came back because Surekha Chachi forgave him. Lol, there were no scenes as such or realisation, a few scenes of Surekha sneaking around and then Akhil stalking the family during the picnic. Everyone saw him talking to Surekha, he attempted to commit suicide, was saved, brought to the hospital, Kaira gave a speech on how it should be entirely the wife’s decision to forgive the husband (hinting at Naira forgiving Kartik), everyone forgave Akhil, Surekha thanked Kaira for their help 🤣.

Like always, there was no point of the affair because it added nothing to the storyline. My mother even commented in one of the episodes that Surekha seems to be happier after her husband cheated on her, such is the character development in this show.

Coming towards Kartik-Kairav’s milan, I have refrained from commenting on the track because it was completely illogical to start with. What do you even comment on a 5 year old hating his father, constantly bossing his parents around, his father changing his identity to please him, ex wife coming to live in her husband’s house, separated couple pretending to be together, child demanding his parents to hug, kiss, love each other, etc, etc. The only good thing about the track was the progression in Kartik-Naira’s relationship. Kartik seems to have woken up from his slumber, wanting to get Naira and Kairav back. From being friends (after custody), to now being the lover boy that he used to be. I know it’s wrong because he has completely forgotten about Vedika but I will give him the benefit of the doubt that for him Vedika was always non-existent. Since the leap and even after the marriage, people around him have pushed him towards Vedika while he has been as detached as is humanly possible.

In the coming track, Kartik has been arrested. I thought he would be released after Vedika is found but apparently not. So probably Vedika hid about her ex and him kidnapping her, Naira would solve the case to save Kartik, eventually leading to Vedika’s exit. Idk how long the makers intent on stretching Vedika’s angle. Her character is so irrelevant that the actress doesn’t even need to be present for the track.

As for the leap, let’s just wait and watch. Yrkkh is number one on the channel and Kaira is the most popular Jodi right now. Yrhpk might be doing good but it hasn’t been able to touch yrkkh’s benchmark nor has the Jodi been appreciated as much as Kaira have been. It’s a huge gamble for Rajan Shahi and Star Plus to remove Shivin or end Kaira, just to prove the point that no one is bigger than the show. The leap worked first time around because Kaira were given enough time to establish themselves prior to Akshara’s death. Now they can’t revamp the show, remove Kaira/Shivin and expect audience to accept them wholeheartedly. The fate of Ishqbaaz should be a lesson for RJ and SP.

True, there is no emotion there..it didnt come from that kids heart after all happened. Karthik deserves much better.

My point is they wont remove shivin calm down peeps, they will just make a new season revolving around kaira...which is pointless to me they need to make a show... that has a story line...This nothing is bigger than the show is nonsense kaira is bigger than the show...if they are removed...ratings will drop like hell because nobody cares for or even has any emotional connection to other characters

That's so dumb to me...So aditya abusing keerti could be forgiven too as its her business...disgusting a man can question your character, throw u out multiple times etc... but its fine...

I have always said, Naira was made to run away and hide about the kid to counteract Kartik’s question. Had she stayed, nothing would have justified Naira forgiving him but now it’s tit for tat. Kartik doubted her and she punished him by pretending to be dead and taking his child away from him. If one makes a mistakes, the other does something worse to cover up for the former’s actions. This is how Kaira have survived the multiples marriages and divorce. We still want them to go back to each other because they are “flawed” and both make “mistakes”.

Yeah thats our ‘Kaira’ , Kartik was so scared to loose her that he started doubting her. Naira dint pretend to be dead, everyone assumed she is dead and she acted according to the circumstances. Kartik was her everything , and after he questioned her character she lost herself, in a way she was actually died .

I wonder if they will ever reveal infront of all that she came back after the accident and even before the marriage to stop it. I know they showed it during the drugged phase but it doesn’t makes any sense at all if none of them remember anything. There are so many loose ends from both sides which needs a closure.

Agree with every single word....Naira's realization....Kartik's breakdown...her calming him down...it all gave glimpse of their previous selves....Shivin were good & at their natural selves as Kaira...child is acting more like a robot with no expression and instincts...he didn't run to his mom on seeing her with bandage around her forehead...though he could hate his dad for hurting his mom....his expressions are mostly apt for horror fiction not for family fiction...he still didn't develop any emotional connection with viewers...regarding Vedika less said the better...the story revolving around two characters more precisely around a couple is getting them number one position on SP most consistently for 3.5 years...whenever they tried to divert their focus to KD-Manish's regressive thinking ratings dropped...best example is unborn child sex determination track...the only unsuccessful one that year (2018)...Mihir track also had focus shifted away from Kaira the couple...doubt element was added in their scenes....even Mihir-Mitali as cameos were given more SS than chai wali...who only got her SS while asking for tea...or blackmailing Naira...Kartik and Naira have not been separated in true sense post their face-off and him saving her life again...they have been living under same roof...being emotionally or physically connected....general viewers have no problem with ex-husband wife...observing fast, hugging each other, having Shermen banters, fights...or dream sequences...as long as Kartik and Naira are in same frame...even if they are together in each other's imagination...its all good...RS knows it...he know the fact that Kartik and Naira need to be together even if they are separated...otherwise if these CVs had even 1% confidence merely on their creativity they would have shown Kartik and Naira living far away like normal estranged or divorced couple...not having any scenes together for weeks...even during Goa they had tons of dream sequences imaginations and most of all emotional connection kaira shared...Kartik-Kairav connection was developed beautifully....Garima has to be blamed for imaginary third angle Mihir and for another imaginary third angle Vedika...she wasn't there during Mumbai tack, Anman's wedding or Clot track...that's why these tracks were good in terms of storyline....If her ideas are so successful why they are not working for yrhpk?....why spin off is not even No. 2 on channel?....or is not even in top 10 form 2-3 weeks?...actors have power to hold viewers...even when creatives work really hard....but who apparently work for viewers entertain viewers by living a character maybe 24/7 can't be overlooked...

You've written it so well ...since the beginning of kaira marriage track, this has been their pattern ..they solve everybody's problems but fail when it comes to their own problems.. besides that, except kaira none of the characters hold any importance.. they r either there to dance or get Into trouble or just stand there till their getting into problem track comes else they just do haawww...

I wish mr rs does something good.. he will be dumb if he gives up on mohsin and shivangi but then ye rishta has reached stangnancy n nothing with the story will make sense , unless too much positivity is shown but nowadays, makers just want to show drama ..they think drama fetches trps...ye rishta is still in top 3 and getting great numbers, how can rs risk it all? New track, new actors or new leap will take some time to get trps...if he goes for like complete revamp and re- incarnation , may be there is hope for shivin..but seriously are you guys ready to watch it all over again ?like same actors in same set up all over again?how much innovative can they get? N shivangi and mohsin cant remain stuck in one show for years, they wont look good as parents no...

Honestly, that line itself is irritating, highlighted throughout his post. It would be a huge risk to take a leap n remove kaira from yrrkkh, even when despite a crappy track, the show is fetching gud numbers. The CVS n RS need to come out from the delusion that the trp is bcos of their "writing " not the actors. I agree, each n every1 wud hav put an effort to make a show successful. But, mohsin, shivangi r way more talented n kaira has managed to surpass the show, otherwise trp wud have fallen longback.. If it was Oly abt the show, then why other characters hardly have any screenspace. Even if they get, most of them never makes an impression. Few of them who r gud, don't get any storyline. For eg. Sachin tyagi is a gud actor, even he doesn't seem to get much screenspace. The show is sustaining only n only bcos of kaira. Otherwise, d show which has already lost its essence, would drown widout kaira. Also, Makers don't seem to get back imp characters such as Naitik n Keerthi..it's a whole mess.

Unnecessary leap could have been avoided. They got it. Now they don't know how to end it nor do they think of continuing it wid a better happier times because, makers now seem to think that it's all about drama that will get them trp. I bet, yrkkh can still sustain in top 3 even now, wid decent realistic tracks, which ppl actually loved the show once for. Kaira got a nice time to get adjusted to d audience as they were introduced along wid akshara's story. Now, they can't just remove kaira n expect ppl to accept new faces. They shud rather come up wid new show n end yrkkh in that case.

Akshara-Naitik were face of the show, but others had equal n gud storylines, that made d whole show for what it was. Now it's Oly kaira n just revolves around them, n luckily d show is watchable Oly bcos of them somehow. It would have been better to put an end to d show aftr an year atleast rather than rewriting d story wid new generation.

Lastly, appreciation to shivangi n Mohsin for actually playing parents roles, specially shivangi who has managed to do the mother role of 5yr old kid. I really hope makers don't show kaira as older wid their new big leap.

Ps. Someone mentioned, Mohsin should try gray shaded characters. Ahh, I felt the same during the character questioning track. Out of kaira's character, but he played it so well.. fighting between his heart n mind. He should definitely try such roles. He would bring out the best.
