If this is indeed true then I’m guessing he was the only one who agreed to tell the story in accordance to her family’s wishes. I’m sure a lot of filmmakers would have loved to be able to tell Madhubala’s story, but how many of them were willing to tell the Madhubala/Dilip Kumar story from her and her family’s perspective which wouldn’t seem favorable towards Dilip Kumar who is still living and greatly revered. There was also her marriage to Ashok Kumar. I’m guessing during 22 years career she’s had disagreements with others as well.
