Ofcoure none of us are stupid enough to think that the CVs are giving us a working Pre to show empowerment of women. But the point is it is still a good message. No one here can deny that so far Pre has been shown to be a totally fit and healthy pregnant lady so there is nothing wrong in her working in the office what ever might happen in future in her pregnancy.

And a show can't run on without the leads having a way to interact with each other. Instead of Pre being shown to reside with Basus, an office track is a hell of a lot better to provide the basis for interaction with Anurag. You might not like Anu or Pre, or their relationship but I'm sure even you have to agree that as long as they are the leads, the show has to have a way to show interaction between them for the story to progress in any way.

People can nit pick as much as they want but sorry, the way Pre and Anu has been characterized before the introduction of Anukom marraige or BajPre is how their main core characters are and that is what they have reverted back to with this track. Because right now is Anupre the characters and Anupre the couple as they were originally shown and what drew us fans to them in the first place. If you have a problem with that, then really you guys are watching the wrong show.

Mostly all of us here are women and gone through that phase multiple times so terms like "insulting and misogynist " are highly inappropriate just because we have different views..its sad these terms are used to casually when nothing is known about the person on the other side.

As per anupre goes , I want to see them in a certain way which is certainly not the way it's being portrayed , when the said couple fail to have a proper conversation , zero growth as a couple , zero understanding , I have full right to criticize them for what they are and express it infinite times. No it's not a wrong show but very wrong and toxic portrayal of love and I will criticize it till the end. I am coming back from tomorrow to do that 😆 Its very tempting.

Wow, this thread had run the whole gamut from HR policies to real life scenarios.. 👏

Although I'm truly at a loss as to why we are expecting a fictional show to stay true to how things would actually be in real life.. That is hardly the point of fiction. If we want to see reality, there are plenty of news channels and documentaries.

The rest everyone is intelligent enough to understand when a topic or post is made with an intension to offer constructive criticism or interesting discussions and when the the purpose is something else altogether, and respond accordingly.

This was a good one to follow. 👍🏼

Cheers.

Charu, we have interacted enough in this forum to know each others perspective with regards to many things as far as the show is concerned. And I've enjoyed many of them with you. But I've stopped since I've seen there is no more any common grounds to interact with you baring, the one post where I felt the way you responded to grace was undeservedly harsh, with regards to someone who rarely if ever trolls or mocks anyone in this forum. I'd like to keep my peace with you as it was good old times kind, and leave you to have fun with your new/old mates here in the forum. So lets leave things as they are...OK?

PS: I'm sometimes overzealous and rambly in my posts, but one things I've never done is make personal remarks about members here. Pointing out some statements made by posters here with regards to the show sound misogynistic and that they might not even be aware of this fact, is very far from calling members misogynists. Please don't accuse me of things I've not done.

I don't think many people have a problem with how Prerna behaves - i.e. like the old, a little childish, a little clumsy, a little crazy Prerna - but with the way she behaves as an employee. I haven't watched KZK since super long so pardon me for I maybe wrong. My knowledge is limited to what I have read. I heard that she picked up an argument with the manager despite she herself being at the fault and stuff. That's quite not done on her part as a newbie.

On a lighter note - Pre indeed has been very healthy. The iron Lady she is! She and her unborn survived so many direct hits and falls. 😆

I desperately need at least a couple of healthy days. I've almost forgotten what it is to be healthy. Would Prerna pass on some healthy days to me? 😔

@TM

First of all, I am happy to hear that you got through a job and in real life too it DOES happen.

I have come across many topics from HR’s on LinkedIn about how they valued the ASSET and did invest in an employee for long term.
It’s a gradual change in the society and thus it’s a welcome change to show in a show that change.

Reality check-Most of the HR’s don’t hire heavily pregnant women, simply because it’s a liability on the company. Maternity leaves are paid and no one wants that due to various reasons:

A. No surety of women coming back to work because decisions can change due to childbirth.

B. No surety of confirmation clauses.

So, it’s not against birthing or women but simply to save company money!
Anyway, the bottomline of the track is empowerment but I have problems with the execution.

@Prerna’s hiring

1. Prerna is neither a LONG term asset nor an exceptionally qualified professional with experience for a company to invest in her. (Well, it’s Ekta’s show, so logic be damned! )

2. The track has subtle empowerment undertones but alas, we get a blabbering incompetent secretary and a neat polished Boss trope severely done to death in many shows ( But, hey the show is illogical from the beginning but sab chalta hai)

3. Sometimes, in real life, women do work till even delivery rooms as well. It’s certainly not a crime or a disease to be pregnant but hey, the pregnant woman is the only working individual in the family.

4. Prerna could be bubbly and chirpy again. But, dude her complete disregard for her unborn is appalling.

That’s my problem. Real problem of the show is it’s heights of stupidity in execution.

P.S- I am absolutely against acceptance of an excuse of love for staying in a toxic relationship. Self-respect has to be important. And, that’s my problem. I have a problem with Prerna being glorified. She hasn’t got anything else except her unconditional love for people. Sorry, that’s not enough for a woman these days. Having love is an emotional trait. There has to be competence, flair, professional skills. Yes, this is 21st century and every woman should focus on education first, should have a passion for career. She can later CHOOSE to be a homemaker, smile and do whatever she wants but basic education and life skills are important. Self-respect is important! Independence is important.

I want to see her skills and not blabber like a looney bin and trip and fall!

Don't get me wrong. Things are not exactly the same as how it was in its hey days of how Anupre were till the end of Naveen track. But they have made huge strides in that direction currently. Unless you have moved on completely from Anupre and don't have any fond memories of how we fangirled over them during that time, any former fan could see what we are talking about if you could watch the last 2 weeks episodes. Specially last 7 or so episodes.

About Pre...ofcourse as unrealistic as it is Pre is one fit girl despite some really REALLY unimaginable situations. Just like our Anu is with that iron head...😆

@Bold: Insha Allah, all this would pass in the near future....keep a positive outlook what ever is ailing you and keep close to your faith at times of strife.

I like to keep a certain kind of decorum with those whom I consider more friends than acquaintances and not indulge in useless back and forth when clearly our likes are different. Just like we do with out own real life friends and family. I won't incessantly argue in a way that would sound hurtful to the other person because we consider the relation above all minor non issues that we disagree with. I do the same with my online friends. So I really didn't want to get into this with you because I've had good times with you here just like a few Bajaj fans like IadoreYou and najma and a few others.

There are many here that you can discuss your issues about Anupre with, but obviously I can't be one of them because as you know I am an Anupre fan and I LOVED Anupre till the end of Naveen track and the current build up and track is more geared towards those days though its not obviously at that stage yet.

This was the only thing I was trying to say to you. I like you so will keep this difference in our perspective in the correct space....out of discussions with you...Down the line if I see you somewhere else in another forum I don't want to have any hard feelings between us over some stupid show....So I'm glad you got my point...See you around Behen 🤗

I had typed a reply but as usual my phone ditched me so I am not going to write it again.

#MyPhoneIsSuperAnnoying 😆

But all that I said was - I feel awful that I don't feel even tiny-winy bit bad to accept that I am totally over these two. I have this issue. Once things go beyond my acceptable standards, I can't reconnect. 😆

@bold - 🤗

PS: I am not a RB fan. I think I have had this conversation with you earlier also. 😆 There is no doubt that he is the only character that I watched the show for after he entered for I had left this long back. Also, there is no doubt that I find KSG an amazing actor and of course, I am not hesitant to admit that - me watching and enjoying RB's character has got a lot to do with who played it. Again, if asked me to pick up a character I would want to watch in Kasauti - then it would be him.

I loved watching him. I did but no, I am not a fan. Fan is a huge word for me and I can't be a fan of any character from a show like Kasauti.

End of the rant. 😆
