It's worse than the normal circus. And here it's not about learning or anything. Its about false Hopes, mind manipulation and money making. And then leaving you stranded half way in the muck.

It's too bad. The expectations and the burden and the failure and the hit on confidence. Somewhere I feel I'm still recovering from it, even after 4 years.

I will never advice anybody to fall for JEE like I did. Even the people preparing for it since 8th Std, there's no effing guarantee that you'll pass through.

For us, it’a taking SATs during last years of your high school, then apply for universities, writing essays after essays for it and then 4 years of University and so on and so forth.

It's true, one relative's kid started in the 8th grade. I doubt they have any idea if they really want to be engineer or not.

Parents need to talk to their kids without pressuring them. And it's better to wake up before rather than realizing it after result and then falling into another loop of drops and what not.

No but the feeling was equivalent here. I was so lost, frustrated and just misguided.

I had no friends to help me, no professors to guide me (cause all of them were so result oriented that no one gave two hoots about how the student feels) and then my parents had spent a bomb of money here, falling in the coaching class trap that I couldn't tell them too, that mujhse nahi ho raha hai aur mujhe nahi karna.

Ugh, I dunno how but by God's grace it's all over. I sailed through, got a decent admission and now I'm happily studying the degree of my life B. Tech <3

Shit, I'm so sorry you had to go through all that! IIT admissions are a complete mess when it comes to the students' mental health. It's just a constant bombarding of Agar nahi kar sake toh life me kuch nahi ban paoge. Which is absolute BS.

No yaa! Big loss I know. I should've watched it. But submissions kept me busy that entire month and I couldn't watch it. Waiting for it to come on TV.
