Do these movies even have enough show timings? I have seen show timings in major cities too but they don't have too many shows...ek do shows ke 1 million pounds kaise banega
Good point. I just moved to London and I wanted to see The Sky is Pink but it's only playing at my nearest cinema (well, nearest cinema that plays Hindi films) around 8pm at night. Too late for me.
Also, have to agree with the person saying no big stars have done good films this year. If SRK were to star in a Veer-Zara or Chak De or any of his other early 2000s type movies now, people would go crazy
I have wanted to watch so many films that have released but they don't even screen in Birmingham. I can't travel to London to watch a film. So yeah, there you go. Makes sense why films aren't able to make big and bigger numbers at the BO.
Also, Cineworld Broad Street has timings as late as 8.

I am in the North region of England and I need to go to different cities to watch movies.
Most Bollywood films are released in main cities like London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bradford, Derby, even London wherever there is Indian diaspora.
But even after that its only 2-3 shows.
I wanted to watch War but there was no show available near me and I dont have the time or energy to go to South UK cities 😆
If there are not enough show timings then audience nahi dekhegi film theatre mein and then naturally the film won't do well.
Doubtful for housefull 4 as well
Do you mean you missed the first week? Because otherwise, Birmingham gets ALL Bollywood releases, due to it's proportionally large South Asian population. Can you name any film you wanted to see that was released in London and not Birmingham.Originally posted by: UmeraTariq

Why arent British watching Bollywood films
I was thinking about this and there might be an explanation. Maybe Pakistani's (who watch Bollywood films in LARGE numbers) have been kept away by the constant digs against their country in the last 3 years. Not only that, even Indian/Bangladeshi Muslims could have turned off Bollywood due to the subtle/not so subtle Islamophobic tropes trend seen in Bollywood of late.
And of course, the SRK factor is there. If he was in some big Dharma production, it would do £1M.

Bala is one example.

Bala is one example. Certainly Star City Vue shows the films but then again, it's too far away for me. Cineworld Broad Street Birmingham is convenient but the films don't release there. So yeah, even though the films release in Birmingham, they don't show in a local cinema. We only have two cinemas which have show timings of Hindi films.

So Jio and Birla (who are producing Ranveer's next Pralay) are going hard bidding for it...
