Those flashbacks from Momin's past. Why did he and his mom live in that distant place? Where did his father disappear? What is Husne Jahaan doing ? And why did she leave the showbiz? What is the background story of the dada and Husne Jahan? Those flashbacks aren't connected with the future ..they jumb between the scenes .
It is a bit confusing when they jump but it also connects with the present of how he has become who he has. Like someone said until we know Momins background we will not understand his journey . I personally love the flashbacks as it shows how Momin after losing his father loses his mother too because of show business and then it seems the present is also parallel because Sajal it seems will have the same aura that his mother did and he will need to confront all that has happened and why . I am sure more secrets are too follow.
Possible maybe how she also now is on the same situation as him at present where she had so much faith in Allah but now who is she doing all this for and for him its turning back to Allah and maybe she will stay as strong and help him in his journey. I simply cannot wait for when they meet and how it seems by seeing her he will have to confront his demons and now think like an adult and all that his mother did for him and the decisions that were made.
Obviously dadaji didn't like Taha marrying an actress and there were lots of misunderstanding and also he had to choose. She chose to leave showbiz because of him but because of something that happened he left her. It's all very mysterious. I love knowing the end and why it happens for me to really enjoy the story because then I appreciate why every character does what they do but I suppose none of our wonderful friends will give us any spoilers lol
So much mystery surrounding the connection her father has with Noor jahan and like someone already said everything is now being connected from the past to the present. It seems he will be part of that international project possibly and will be auditioning her too.

Alif jitna simple lagta hai utna simple nahi hai..jo connect ho Gaya hai story se wahi samjh sakta hai.mostly peoples wants love story jaha ek ladki do hero talaaq and all rubbish things but yaha aisa kuch nahi hai.
Yaha har character ki ek story hai and ek journey hai. Jo past and present dono me chal rahi hai. Sab k past and present ek saath Jude hue hai and future me sab open hona hai.alif is a deep saga.
