I was watching the Hindi dubbed version of Thani Oruvan and Adanga Maru starring Jayam Ravi. Both were brilliant films and had this political thriller drama element. His movie Tik Tik Tik was the first Indian space movie and I saw it yesterday, it was pretty great.

Venkatesh and Tamannah's F2- Fun and Frustration was also a great comedy. I laughed my butt off and recommend it to everyone please go watch it 😆

And then my favourite, Goodachari starring Adivi Sesh. It was the best Indian film I have watched in years imo. Not to mention, Sesh is such a cutie ☺️ And he does brilliant movies! His Kshanam was already remade as Baaghi 2 and imo the original was way better...they should have taken him in the remake with Disha ❤️

If anyone here watches South Indian movies, do you feel the same way? Bollywood could learn a thing or two according to me.

Have you watched Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru? For a thriller lover it is a good one.

It is dubbed in hindi, and legally available in youtube channel SelectFlix.

Thadam is another one, which is quite interesting thriller

Although the best IMO was the creepy Ratsasan, although it isn't exactly a suspence filled thriller, but it for a pyscho killer thriller, quite creepy and engaging.

But it is not yet available in Youtube, and also not available with subtitles in Hotstar(plus they have Malayalam dubbed version). But it is easily available in Google, just search "index of Ratsasan".

I haven't watched many movies from down there! So plz rec'd but nothing OTT action flicks where people and cars are flying everywhere .. something decent and different! [ETA .. there was a movie by Mahesh Babu where he adopts a village, have seen that one. So something on similar tangent also funny and retable types]

Content wise Tamil or Malayalam industry is doing much better than Bolly. But even there audience don't support good films unless it's highly entertaining (like thanioruvan) . For ex Aruvi & super deluxe were the best reviewed Tamil films of the decade. Both bombed miserably at the box office despite massive push by the media.

Just saw the trailer for this one and it looks high tech esp the visuals. I'll give it a shot!

Also F2 .. will keep these two in my list. Do suggest some more such movies which focus more on good storyline and acting!

The ones I linked above post are decent thriller flicks.

Can you access Hotstar? If yes, search and watch Malayalam movies like Ustad Hotel, Om Shanti Oshana, Premam and Banglore Days. And you will not regret them.

Oh man u gotta watch F2 its hilarious. Venkatesh has aged really well!

Goodachari looks like this big bidget film but was made in ONLY 6 crores! Freakin crazy! Bollywood mein they spend 100 crores and still choppy VFX 😂

Adivi Sesh came up with the script and story as well...the dude's a genius. Please watch it, you will love it for sure.

I think u should watch Kshanam as well. Baaghi 2 was a messed up remake, the original is much more gripping, realistic and interesting.

How many of you recognized Advi Sesh as Bhadra of Baahubali?
