Prerna has Zero self-respect and self worth. Her only identity is that she is Anurag's lover/mistress and mother to their illegitimate child. The only inspiration she is capable of giving to people is how to be Sassy without having any real substance i.e., zero self respect and self worth. Empty vessels make more noise, she is like that, she take a high moral ground when she has no morales herself and is all big talk and no real action.
In fact she is a college dropout with no dreams or aspirations other than serving the members of BB. Prerna's real status in Basu Bari is that of a Glorified Maid or Glorified Governess and she takes up this position with pride. Intact, it is a job that she has taken it upon herself just to be relevant in BB and find an excuse to live there. Otherwise BB has loads of paid maids. Her own mother and granny are old and may require her help and care is of no concern to her. Her old mother is working to make ends meet, bit she being an educated women cannot be bothered to work and earn for her mother. For her, it is more important and prestigious to work as a Governess at BB and day dreaming about Anurag 24*7 than financially help her mum and granny! She neglects her own family members to care of people who don't really care 2 hoots for her and barely tolerate her due to their son.
I cannot digest the fact that she called herself Anurag's wife! It shows that she never paid attention in school and college, else she would know some basic things.
Dhaaga marriage broken by Anu himself. Putting Sindoor in front on an idol does not make u married. Had that been the case, all actresses would have had multiple marriages with all the actors they have enacted marriage sequences with. I was hoping she would have this much basic common sense that Sindoor marriage has no validity whatsoever. Haan, Dil behelane ke liye and one night strand ke liye theek hai yeh reason. Bus!
However, even after knowing that Sonalika is Anurag's wife now she claims she is his wife as well. It is a fact that Komolika is indeed the legally wedded wife and Prerna does not know that Sona's marriage is a sham or that Sona is Komo. So, Prerna basically does not care or respect another women's marriage too. All she cares is about her relationship with Anurag. What if Sona was a real and genuine person! She would still try to break that women's marriage for her own selfish needs! So, Prerna is doing what she accused Komolika of doing to her, trying to snatch another women's husband. In fact, I don't think she really cares about others feelings. If I remember correctly, Anurag and Prerna had a one night strand while Anurag was still engaged to Mishka!
And the worst part is despite being shown the door, she will justify the actions of BB people and later try to claim her non existent Haq on Anurag. The truth is by all accounts Sona is the legally wedded wife while Prerna is just Anu's lover-cum-mistress. I am using the term mistress or the other women for Prerna coz that is what the society will deem her to be since Anurag is married. The samajh has already seen her raasleela with Anurag when she was married to Bajaj. So to the society, she is someone with loose morales, zero self respect and zero self worth.
A women this blind and shallow will never learn. I hope the makers stop portraying 21 century women like this. It is a joke and an insult. What kind of message are the makers trying to convey? I so so so wish Prerna's trials and tribulations now result in her waking up from the slumber, get her head out of the clouds and she has a self realization of some sorts and finally grows a spine.
I apologize for hurting anyone's sentiments. While I do agree some of the words I used for Pre leave a bad taste, but that is what she is portrayed in the show!! The worst part is she has brought the treatment she is subjected to, to herself and will still justify her so called Kaka Babu and Kaki ma no matter what. I doubt she will ever learn or grow a spine!
