I expected that you wont like GG movie😆..as i tried to watch this movie few months back ...hero's character was mehh and boring i dozed off within half an hour of the movie ..lol..But i didnt say anything about the movie here as i have not watched it until the end of the movie and also i wanted to know what you would say about this movie 😆...I feel Taxiwala was better than this movie..i didnt felt boring atleast, i could watch until the end to know the suspense/mystery around that car..😆

Regarding Malayalam, i feel you will like Dhrishyam and Banglore days....lol...I think you already know about these movies anyway..😆

Re: GG....lol yes this was more like the typical perception I had of South ki movies. A lot of tacky slapstick “comedy” and instant “Lowe”🙄 with a mostly misogynistic story. Lol

Anyways, I guess there are such movies in almost every industry.....including Punjabi movies....it’s kinda funny that the languages may be different but core themes are same. lol wohi village backdrop, wohi same stories always revolving around people desperate to get married and comedy/drama around that....mostly one dimensional stuff 🤷‍♀️

I'm not aware of movies of other languages much though , i can talk about only Telugu movies ..there were many varieties of movies ,not only village back drop or story revolving around ppl desperate to get married kinda stories...., But most of them were crap in their own way😆..I'm not sure whether Telugu industry has been evolving in recent times as i have hardly watched 4 or 5 movies in last 3 yrs...But Being a person who watched Telugu movies for 20 yrs..i feel the telugu industry has been devolving atleast until 2015...bcz i'm a person who watched even few black and white movies if the stories were good...so my observation is movies from 1980's and 1990's had better stories ...then gradual devolving happened ...I still remember few good movies from 1990's and 2000-2007 era, but i hardly remember any good movie after that...i mean yes few of them were entertaining but they were forgettable..For example i did find "Maghadheera" (Ramcharan's movie) , "Darling (prabhas movie), "Mr.perfect" (Prabhas movie) ,"Racegurram" (Allu arjun's movie),"Nannaku prematho" etc.etc.( which came around 2009-2016 ) movies entertaining in those days but they dont come to my mind when i think of good movies...lol... I definitely dont want to suggest these kind of movies to the ppl who want to watch telugu movies for better content...lol

If you want content in telugu movies , you hardly find VERY few telugu movies these days.Old Telugu movies toh i dont think non-telugu ppl would like to watch...So you will get disappointed if you expect much 😂...If not for content, atleast you expect some entertainment from the movie, but who have so much patience to watch other regional movies with subtitles for random entertainment 😂...I myself dont have patience to sit through any of my regional telugu movie unless it is soo amazing toh i dont think you have patience 😂..

And you are the person who want to watch best content , writing, acting etc., So dont expect it in recent Indian cinema other than one or two movies...lol😂...better to watch some international movies i guess ..

But i defended Telugu movies few pages back considering the old movies though 😂...bcz it would be unfair to the makers of those old amazing movies if we call all of the telugu movies are crap 😆...

I wanted to blabber all the above essay when you said Telugu movies are most crass..but i didnt want to stretch it further defending the Telugu movies based on old ones lol...😆...

Re: Regarding warning about GG, you sounded excited to watch this movie in few pages back, yes i expected you wont like the story or characters ..but again you liked the pairing in DC and DC movie toh i thought you were going to watch GG for their pairing again...lol...Mujhe toh didnt even know who is Rashmika when i tried to watch GG few months back ...I first time saw her in that movie only .I didnt get impressed much by her in that movie...I liked Vijay's acting in AR, so tried to watch GG but i got disappointed by his character in the movie....So i was not even much interested in watching DC either until i saw you ppl's gushing here 2 days back...Now after looking at your ppl's discussion here on DC, would like to watch it at some point....lol

As i myself recommended few movies to you, i should warn you about this one movie if at all you are going to watch..lol.. ie., about " Ala modalaindi" movie...It was not some great movie though..It was a very low budget movie,so dont expect amazing production values or cinematography.it was debut of Nitya menon in Telugu..The movie looked fresh at that time...After long time, we got simple cute love story among all the other lame over hyped masala films...Eventhough first 20 mins of the movie looked meh,the movie picks up after that...Particularly i liked the climax proposal scene.. it was cute...And again I'm not sure whether the print is good or subtitles do the justice for the dialogues..bcz for few movies i noticed, subtitles were very brief and couldnt convey much about the dialogues..lol

And again sorry now bcz it is a Very long blabbering 😂..

@Nihara: LOL yes, the subtitles are also not really reliable....they weren't that good for the version of GG I got to watch.

DC subtitles were really good though cuz they were through a legit site like Prime....so it gave a better flavor for the movie.....overall also, the movie is way better made than GG....it's a substance wala role for both Vijay and Rashmika.....they were both bimbos in GG......DC is deffo better acting from both of them.

I've noticed the common theme in all Telugu movies....regardless of story or content....they all have to do slow motion exaggerated fight scenes with flying cars and hero walking around like he owns every place.....lol even DC had such fight scenes in slow motion....I zoned out during that stuff....it feels excessive after a point.

Most of the villains are caricaturish too.....lol

🤣...You have to watch Balakrishna movies...I cant imagine what you would say 🤣...You dont need to go to take chair..It will come to you with single chutki😂..Not only cars, even train fly away in some Balakrishna movie 😂...The degradation of Telugu movies started with those lame movies of him only 😳..After him, Junior NTR from his family followed the same trend for few years😳..

Fight sequences toh i can confidently say they evolved in recent times...otherwise there used to be throwing bombs , murdering ppl around and other violence stuff with wierd weapons particularly in few old Rajamauli films..Few aspects like cinemautography, VFX ,production values evolved in recent times, but degradation in content😆

And lol i think you better watch korean shows for a change ...you get addicted for few days and they have limited number of episodes..and most of them are love stories ..atleast they are not boring..😆...Timepass ho jaata hai 😆

Nope.....I never got into Korean shows....way too cheesy for me😆. I know many people watch them....but these shows just never seemed my type *shrugs*

Anyways first you guys watch oh baby on netflix and let m3 know your thoughts i fell in love with Sam all ovet again after it and then majili this year she is finally pivking some good roles and her IV with masand was really good and i loved how she accepted there was too much pressure on her caz she never gave a flop on initial days and then all the media made animosity and hpw that was a thong she didn't knew and was bitter with some of her collegues but now they've figured it out and most telugu actresses are now supporting each other which i really do see with these girls they are always trying to lift each othet up which is adorable.

but what else i really liled was sam opebly saying they don't have roles for me now caz i am married and am sitting at home while i do want to work and not do the same characters i loved her saying it's like makers don't know what yo write or make for a top actress once she gets married. It is sooo true for all desi industries but yeah oh baby really is refreshing film and sam is a cutie

Oh and word about DC sibs and prime doing subs so much better the subs for virus are even a step ahead with every little sound being subtitled . I am so thankful for these platforms kind of starting this "enforcement" of sorts and the makers across industries realizing how inportant it is and now actually hiring professional subtitlers. honestly idk how we used to do without them before 😆

Haha ..pls let me talk a little bit about korean shows here ...

After a lot of pestering from one of my friends gang, i finally gave up and watched this "Boys over flowers" korean show 6 yrs back..I loved it..I watched some 15 korean shows in those days..but i liked only 2 or 3..

What i like in korean shows is they develop the love story between the leads gradually like for Shivika or in NBT...I find them much better than most of the ITV shows...They are limited series like 16-25 episodes..Each episode is one hour...And they dont have dragging with unnecessary lame tracks like in ITV shows...I'm kinda fan of these love stories with gradual progression and interactions...I cant find them in movies or in most of ITV shows...Generally korean shows are so addictive that i would continue watching the whole show forgetting sleeping,eating for a day or two ..lmao so i never dared to watch them in last 3 yrs ..😂

When i started watching IB, I felt some similarity with korean shows...Thats the reason i started watching IB in the initial days😂...

And later i came to know "Boys over flowers" was adapted into other languages..In hindi i heard it is KYY ...lol

And also it was surprising to see korean's values/morals similar to that of indians whether its comes to relationships or many other things..I never knew about koreans culture..it was kinda interesting to know their culture or the places in South korea..it was different experience to watch..haha

I initially felt little bit wierd to watch them..both women and men having kinda similar appearance..haha...but once get into watching, i started liking the MLs bcz of their characterizations 😂...

But again, may be korean shows are not everyone's cup of Tea i guess toh...i cant force anyone to watch...😂
