First thing that comes to my mind when I think of Chennai is vegetarian food, vattha kuzhambu, Kara kuzhambu, puliyodarai, curdrice, are my favorite veg items, approm saravanan bhavan meals .missing it badly, Mumbai doesn't have a saravanan bhavan😔.
