She did want all of that, but mainly because of the absence of a husband and to prove Ashok that she is as able as Meeta. Also she didn't even expect to be able to remarry so she got invested in it. Now Meeta isn't there for comparison and she has a husband so she's kind of back to default mode Babita I guess 😕

Also, HS did make her cry this time, didn't he? What happened to his resolution 😅

Both sides, Bride and Groom have their own functions. Families invite their relatives and friends and bear the cost. When Groom goes with “Baarat”, the wedding day cost is bear by Bride family mostly. And then Groom has reception which his family pays.

Nowadays with both working individuals, it’s changing. Bride and Groom divides the expense. But this is still very rare. Mostly it’s the first scenario.
