Chachi Paintrebaaz

In a show with many characters that show unexpected traits that go against the grain, we now add one more cameo to the list.....Satto Chachi....lol

Waise toh aaj bas intro tha, but by the end of the episode, Chachi revealed that she's a quirky one....ek aur tedhi kheer😆

After many days, a new track opening up didn't feel like it's filled with dread. After many days, there was a sense of a track being opened up to make a point in vintage PB style.

In the guise of a "saas-bahu" interaction, the makers are trying to address many things:

1) The different schools of thought that exist in society.....the old school, the centrist, and the progressive/liberal.

2) Surface appearances can be deceptive.....just like Babita seems like a sehmi, dari hui gaaye on the surface and she's anything but that underneath (infact she's quite twisted).....lol this Chachi tries to put out an image of fire breathing, strict matriarch but it turns out that she can be progressive about some things too. So the lesson is to never box people based on their backgrounds and appearances.

3) The stress and challenge of balancing a professional life with a personal life.....using the backdrop of the catering order issue with Patiala Babes, they are exploring how women struggle with balancing or having to choose between the two....why those choices are made, and what can be the result. Intermingled with this ofcourse is the issue of a married woman's identity.....her tendency to lose herself in pleasing her husband, in-laws at the cost of her own identity...that is the path Babita is on currently. Under pressure, unable to balance/manage, she's made a stark choice and said "I don't care" to the business she herself set up.

A few words for HS making another effort to reach out to his Veer Balika😆.....timing sahi nahin baithi but intent/emotion ke liye full marks😆.....Mini was in a full brat mode today with no patience for his "jokiness".....and it didn't help that he gifted her a COMICBOOK about a CHACHI😆....the writers trying to plug this Chachi track there with the reference to "Paintrebaaz"....not lost on us😆.....this track will be about Chachi ke paintre only.....lol

Also a few words for HS being all mazaakiya with Babita and his Chachi in general.....saying ki agar bahu pasand nahin aayi toh badal dega🤣....I've missed his witty one liners.....that moment of teasing between him and Babita flowed quite naturally....lol

The last scene between Mini, Babita, and the Chachi was the best scene of the episode....the Chachi is sharp and quite observant about both Babita and Mini's traits and their dynamic.....her instant connect to Mini's fiery nature set the tone for what's to come....despite her claims about how she wants bahu ki seva, the Chachi doesn't want a doormat bahu.....she appreciates spirit in a woman, not a servile nature.....which is why she kinda cut off Babita in the middle of her trying to explain how good Mini is and shooed her off to go make parathe....lol....she's testing Babita without Babita realizing it😆

Usually, conservative, orthodox elders make allowances for their grandkids because of the affection towards a blood relation - an heir. Here, this Chachi has taken to Mini simply on the basis of her spirited personality. I liked how the scene flowed in the end with Mini also cracking a smile over Chachi trying to say "angrezi" with an accent. Waise bhi Mini has a knack for winning over elders of all shapes and sizes😆

I also enjoyed watching Minnie and Chachi and their interactions are cute

I wonder if Chachi will compare Imarti and Babita at any point, providing this Chachi (that came out of nowhere), has met Imarti before

It seems like Chachi wants someone that follows rules and regulations but does is also independent and genuine..The Conservative & Liberal Party all in one person ...hmmm

The Chachi has likely met Imarti if HS is among her fav. nephews.....so yes, quite possible she will throw in either references to Imarti or compare Babita with Imarti.

But even without that, she's managed to terrify Babita enough.....lol so I'm not sure that is the intent of this track.....it seems more about making Babita realize some things and not put on the act of servile bahu to blindly appease someone.

Chachi seems to be the bridge between old and new....she's old school about many things but she seems to admire spunk and personality, that is why she's taken to Mini.

They will still likely clash on other topics....but for now, Mini's one quip to Chachi about how Chachi seems jealous of her cuz she herself got married and had kids at 18 while Mini is free to fly around like an "udanpari".....lol that seemed to break the ice and somehow impressed Chachi.

Also possible that Chachi got quite impressed by Mini ki INGREZI😆

Today's was a good episode. At their places, each character today had a reason for behaving the way they did. (Except Saroj 🤬)

Babita is a newly wed and wants to bask in that a little while longer. Saroj was breathing into her ear with her philosophies too. 😒 HS asked her for something for just two days and she wanted to do it.

Though, personally, I don't agree with how she's juggled her personal and professional career, I'm sure she'll be shown to learn slowly. Her being so nonchalant is frustrating. Let the client go? Isn't that harmful for the business?

Mini wants to ensure that this order is delivered. Especially with Khatri in the mix. Moreover, she saw NB toiling away alone at the shop and would've felt bad.

She told Babes she'll put in a hand at home so they can work at the shop. I don't think she understands how one has to sometimes attend to guests even over personal commitments yet.

Also, how cute was Ashnoor looking? A proper grown up in those pants and blouse.

I wonder if HS knows he's asking Babes to do seva of one of his elders only to let his other elder take on all the burden of the work.

HS, too, was understandable. I don't like how dismissive he was about their work, but he doesn't understand the importance of one client when it comes to family members. He only asked for two days & he doesn't do it on a regular basis.

Plus, he's in law enforcement so if he has a case to cater to, he can't leave it and just come. I wonder how he would've been regarding B's work if his father was still around. NB did say that he made Imarti do his seva.

Chachi, on the other hand, is one interesting character. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

HS was so sure that Chachi will understand why Mini's known as Veer Balika. He already knew what's about to happen and except for protesting about the clothes comment, didn't bother to break the ice between them. I'm sure he knew the effect Chachi will have on Mini and vice versa. 😆

Haha yes! HS knew his Veer Balika would manage to impress his Chachi....aur wohi hua....Mini won her over with her spitfire nature in one instant.

Woh pal mein tola, pal mein maasha type moment tha.....the Chachi flipped from scolding Mini for all manner of things to suddenly high-fiving her😆......so many of these characters are emotional.....pal mein gussa ho jaayenge, aur pal mein gussa bhool ke khush bhi ho jaayenge😆

@bold: Good point. The writers haven't shown HS having much cognizance of the amount NB toils away in that shop....I hope they address it someday.

As for HS....yes it's understandable where he's coming from.....he requested some time be given to a beloved family member.....it's quite obvious he stated it as an exception, and not a rule.....I don't think he was necessarily trying to be dismissive of Babita's work but it's obvious that he wanted her to prioritize his request this once......since he barely ever asks her for anything, it's hard to begrudge him one request.....lol

Bas timing bad ho gayi that this coincided with the business faltering in general due to Babita's neglect overall.

Babita ka issue seems to be her usual struggle with not being able to balance things and abruptly choosing one over the other. This time she's chosen her grahasti/bahu mode over her business. Situations change but the issue remains the same.....Babita has trouble balancing and prioritizing her things....whether it's a business asset or her relationships.

So yeah, seems like this is building up towards a lesson for Babita about valuing what she herself built rather than getting carried away in the face of new relationships.

I also liked the shop scene with Mini trying to motivate everyone to work for the big order and then NB letting lose a stream of curses to scare the staff into getting to work😆

As for Saroj.....lol even her character is realistic only....many women think and talk like that only....and they are always around to whisper things in someone's ear about is baat se daro, us baat se daro....kahin yeh na kho do, woh na kho do.....lol she's going to be around to constantly remind Babita that this is her SECOND shaadi so she better handle things properly this time or she will lose another husband *rolls eyes*

Waise aaj mujhe Babita pe taras aa raha tha.....lol Chachi was treating her like a doll only....the way she was piling on more sindoor in her maang to decorate her like a prop.....poor Babita had such a hapless expression on her face.....bacchi lag rahi thi ekdum😆

And baap re, itni seva karvaayi Chachi ne Babita se.....haath paaon bhi literally dabvaaye.....haha

One thing that struck out to me....Babita tries to show that she's happy doing all this seva but she's not really happy to do it...and that is another lesson she needs to learn.....agar seva mann se nahin aati, toh nahin karni chahiye. It becomes counterproductive....you do it thinking it's a necessity to manage relationships, but then you feel like it's not valued and you start to develop resentment.....this is what happened with Babita when she was doing seva of the Khuranas also.

And then the blame doesn't only lie with the person who asked you to do seva....it also lies in the fact that you didn't do it with a genuine sense of seva but out of majboori.....ultimately leading to bitterness and resentment.

You're right. I can't fault any character from yesterday. These situations do arise where people learn how to balance different aspects of their lives.

NB giving all the galis was such a moment of sakoon for me. She's slowly become one of my all time favourite characters. ❤️

Aww yes, so true.....lol Mini started off on the wrong foot with NB also and look at them now.....haha Chachi definitely seems to be becoming a Mini fan pretty fast too.

NB giving gaalis is definitely one of those comforting constants in PB.....woh gaaliyaan na suno toh kuch khaali khaali lagta hai😆.....isliye aaj bade dino baad full form mein PB feel aaya.....haha

Re: Saroj.....lol but it's not about helping na.....it's about the general paranoia in many women that they try to then project into any other woman....lol

From Saroj's POV, Babita was kind of like an outcast after her divorce....koi pati nahin tha so there was nothing to loop her into the same group as all the married women doing their married women things.....lol but now Babita is back in the "league" so Saroj is providing muft ka gyaan.....lol if things go wrong, she wants to be able to say, "I told you so na ki yeh karna chahiye tha, woh karna chahiye tha....mera advice nahin maana toh dekho kya ho gaya".....lol....phir baith ke gossip about phooti kismat etc. etc...lol bahut log line mein khade hote hain dusron ke misfortune pe tsk tsk karne ko.
