hina I am a veterinarian and I do companion animal medicine asin dogs and cats only.I do send loads of patients to oncologist, with good outcomes so that is why i was saying and you know it depends on situations ,some times chemo can kill a person, even my mother in law ,my husband regrets getting her chemo as they found out about her cancer too late,so best is to follow the advise of these guys,I find them as most compassionate of all specialists....if they say don't treat, then it is no point...but in India doctors are so greedy some times am not sure about pakistan but back home, gosh they keep dead people on ventilators for 2-3 extra days to make money,so I gt your point toođ
I don't know about the US, but I assume it is the same to an extent, but in the UK when they look at the treatment costs and stuff, they put a lot of emphasis on quality of life that the person will be able to live. It's not just keeping the people alive, which is what they do in our countries where they care about the money and take advantage of people in pain who are desperate. Or even if their intentions are good, they don't do the hard thing of telling people the facts and giving them the truth.
Technically death isn't the worst condition you can be in. There are conditions where you can be in a state that is considered worse than death.
