The NO COPY feature only worked for the first page earlier and wouldn’t work for subsequent pages so I never bothered with it. I don’t think that’s the problem. I guess part of it because I edited the post using my phone which might have caused a disarray and that combined with the new format has made the links faulty.

A link to a tool one reader posted above works great actually. I just tried using it and it works great! Though I’m yet to check all chapters.

Another issue in new IF is that, hyperlinks on post with NOCOPY doesnt work.

As the post maker you need to either update the chapters in a post with NOCOPY or remove it from the post.

This is a lot already. It should more than suffice I guess. After IF deleted a few one/two word posts even page numbers were a little off so numbers don’t matter as long as there are all chapters. I think because some chapters had parts a and b the numbers issue. Don’t break your head about it. You are intelligent 🤓

Hey everyone, as per some readers’ suggestion I have removed NO COPY from my index post and added page numbers where there are no links. I also cleared all the disarray and cross checked the links. There should be no difficulty reading the chapters now I think. I hope you enjoy reading. Thanks for your help guys. New readers do tell me how you liked the story!

Bingo! They are all working now.

Now I have a suggestion if you don't mind.

If you use "Post Links" instead of "Page Links" you will never face the problem of chapters moving to different pages.

If you click on the POST OPTION button on top the post, you will see three options Report, Edit and Link. If it is not your own post then you will see only Report and Link.

If you click on the Link button, you will get a hyperlink for that particular post. If you use those links to create your index, then the readers will always be directed to the post, irrespective of where it is moved in the thread

For example.

The page link for chapter 16 is https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/iss-pyaar-ko-kya-naam-doon/4903792/arhi-ff-incandescent-completed-extra-scene-page-133-25-06

and Post link for the same chapter is https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/148049608

Believe me, it helps a lot in the future when IF decides to remove more +1 posts and irrelevant posts such as posts from deleted or blocked accounts.
