So much for non-existent marriage?

While a divorce ends a legally valid marriage, an annulment treats the marriage as if it never existed. The end result of an annulment is the same as a divorce—the parties are single and may remarry or enter into a domestic partnership with another person.

Kartik and Naira were already married before signing divorce papers...Vedika and Kartik got married before Kartik and Naira signed divorce papers...as Kartik was legally married to Naira when he performed marriage rituals with Vedika....Kartik's marriage with Vedika was/is illegal according to bigamy claims as the marriage is annulled/void which means it never existed according to law...until or unless Kartik again get married to Vedika...as now Kartik and Naira are legally divorced...CVs are shoving annulled non-existent or void marriage down out throats...to make it acceptable...Vedika bechari is good at heart as she felt bad after blackmailing Naira...she realized her mistake cried over it...so she is oh so good human being...also she had traumatic past...so she deserve happiness...Garima is in love with Vedika's character...as its her creation...unlike Kartik and Naira who are BV's creations...whatever happened post leap and during Mihir's track was suggested by Garima...Naira's fake death, 5 year leap, her keeping Kairav away, Kartik as stranger meeting Kairav, Kartik's second marriage, Naira returning to Udaipur, Naira's rona dhona over her own choices...its all Garima's great innovations and they worked in terms of trp...tbh if Shivin hadn't enacted most of the scenes like Kaira face off scenes, confrontations, Kaira-Kairav scenes...more than half duration of this week's episodes and all post leap episodes before last week had Kaira only...if Kaira won't be convincing enough for trp viewers their trashy ideas and writing won't be successful...its Kaira's emotional connection with each other that connect viewers with them....otherwise the way they are portraying Naira...even Damini and Vedika are appearing less foolish better say wiser than her..even if Naira thinks Kartik want to move on in life with Vedika...or they can't be back together now as their relationship ended with that question...she still doesn't have any right to separate Kairav from him...that also when Kartik wants joint custody and doesn't want to separate Kairav from her...Its nearly impossible to sympathize with Naira...even after one the best three Kairalicious episodes...its difficult to like half of Kaira...Naira....despite of being Kaira fan...same Naira who was more likable during last leap...Naira waking up from slumber after facing reality in court is also nearly impossible...she deserved to be questioned by person like Damini Mishra...Can CVs please end Naira's character?...as she is getting dumber...show Kartik winning custody...Naira disappearing again to never return...Vedika realizing her mistake and leaving Kartik...Kartik and Kairav living like a perfect family...as they are each other's family...

I felt sad after watching today’s episode. After three great episodes, we are back to point zero. I just can’t connect with Naira anymore because of her attitude towards Kartik and his relationship with Kairav.

Kartik is doing the best he can given the circumstances but no one, literally no one is understanding him. Both, Vedika and Naira, are trying to control his life for their personal gains. How is Naira being so indifferent to his emotions?
Am I suppose to feel sorry for a person who’s crying and begging from the father of her kid to not separate her from their child, yet she’s expecting him to do so? Does she even realise what she’s asking of him? Even if Kartik wins the case, she won’t lose anything because he’s not snatching Kairav from her unlike Naira who’s expecting Kartik to completely let go off his rights on their son.

Also, her arrogance is annoying. Her “I am a single mother who’s been through so much, hence I deserve the sole custody” argument doesn’t cut it for me. On what basis is she gonna win? As Damini said, playing the mother or woman card won’t win her case. Ignoring the tactics being used by Damini, what will Naira’s argument be given that she can’t use her mother card because Kartik is not expecting Kairav to move out of SS even if he wins.

To win sole custody, she will need to proof Kartik incapable of taking care of Kairav on his own, right? Is she gonna say that just because he decided to move on in his life, not knowing he had a son or that his wife was dead, he doesn’t deserve to have any legal rights on his son?

The track is going in circles and I don’t see it ending anytime soon. If Vedika has a bad past, won’t that gain her more sympathy in the eyes of Goenkas and Naira, causing them to further push her on to Kartik? Since when is a cameo character that important that a new character is being introduced just for her?

More than anything, I think the cvs just want to get back at the fans for the backlash and negative publicity. Most dialogues and scenes are so unnecessary at times like Vedika wanting to share a room with Kartik.

As for the legality and divorce, cvs don’t care about any of it. The only reason they showed Kaira seeking a divorce again, is because of the complains that were made to IBF against bigamy. According to statement released by IBF, bigamy in the show has ended with Kaira getting a divorce. No one cares about the legality of Kartik and Vedika’s marriage.

I am actually looking forward to the court hearings but I am afraid they would make Naira appear mahan, when she’s really not. I want Kartik to gain sympathy, not Naira because she doesn’t deserve it right now. At the same time, I wish Kartik withdraws the case and Naira gets the custody. I want Kairav to fall sick at the thought of being separated from his father. We always hear that a child can’t live without his mother, but I want them to show that he can’t live without his father either. Only when Naira realises what she’s done to her son and Kartik, would she actually feel guilty. Till then she would live in this delusion that she’s enough for her son.

@bold: yes, exactly. The last I heard was that IBF had responded by saying that Kartik Naira would get divorced soon.. to end bigamy complaints. In yesterday’s episode, the makers tried to give an impression that the second divorce has gone through. Damini saying that Kartik-Naira don’t look like divorced couple, calling them Ex, Kartik saying that they could remarry like they did after the last divorce... all these are suggesting that the makers want us to believe that they are divorced again .. at least for now.

Regarding Naira ..,.. running away for the second time has made her mistake unpardonable. When she ran away as a teenager, she made the lives of everyone who loved her miserable. Akshara-Naitik who were ideal couple otherwise, landed up with strained relationship after that. I wonder how broken Naitik is now. He was already in depression after Akshara’s death, and then his daughter disappeared.

Someone pointed out that Naira had no one to support her 5 years ago when Kartik questioned her, so her running away is justified. Sorry I totally disagree. Rarely anyone has such a strong support system as Naira did. Maheshwaris have adopted Shourya’s illegitimate child Kuhu, and relative Mishti wholeheartedly with so much affection. I am sure they would not mind helping their beloved Akshara ‘s daughter. Naitik spent almost a decade of his life searching for his daughter. He could have been her and Kairav’s savior in times of need. Naksh could have supported her as he is doing now. Keerti risked her own marriage to mend Naira- Kartik’s relationship during the Bombay track.. Suwarna .., the list goes on.

In the current track Naira is coming across more dumb by denying joint custody to Kartik, so she can leave the city as Vedika wants her to do.

I do not see anything wrong in what Naira is doing. She has no one except Kairav and she has promised Vedika to leave the place with her child. Kartik willingly and knowingly married Vedika, even if later his marriage to Vedika turned out to be null and void as he was still legally married to Naira at the time. Vedika instead of graciously packing up her bags and leaving, is acting like a crazed, wronged woman. She knows Kartik loves Naira, she knows Naira and Kartik are still legally married and yet she wants Kartik for herself. That friend of hers, Pallavi, needs some sense knocked into her too.

Coming back to Naira, all she knows is that Kartik willingly married Vedika, she, Naira, has returned at an inopportune time and needs to leave so Kartik can carry on with his life. This is her soch. Seen from her perspective, it is not wrong at all. She is definitely not going to leave her own reason for living, Kairav, behind with Vedika (and Kartik). Naira has also reassured Kartik over and over again, he can meet Kairav whenever he wants. Kartik has to understand he is as much to blame in this situation, if he hadn’t fallen to pressure and had not married Vedika, none of this would have transpired. He wants his baby in front of him and he wants his Naira too at whatever cost. He could live the rest of his life married in name to Vedika but spending time with Naira and Kairav everyday. That is not fair to either woman, especially to Naira.

Kartik is lost in his own pain and does not see the chalu Vedika wreaking havoc on all their lives. She is no friend of his, she just wants his wife and child out of the house so she can queen over Kartik’s and dadi’s lives. I hope Vedika was in the courthouse when Kartik lost his temper and yelled at Damini, I hope Vedika and that selfish dadi heard his “Meri Naira” and I hope it resonated long and hard in their ears.
