War Collects Huge Numbers On Tuesday

War had a huge Tuesday as it collected around 27 crore nett on Dusshera. The film went up around 30% from the previous days and it was one of the highest first Tuesdays in history. The first week collections at 206 crore nett apprx are the third highest ever after Bahubali - The Conclusion (2017) and Sultan (2016). The only other film to get 200 crore nett in a week in Sanju (2018).

The growth was better in mass centres and it was Gujarat / Saurashtra leading the way in terms of growth as it was the end of Navratri on Monday. The numbers of the film are huge across the board with East India being simply phenomenal due to the extended holiday period.

War is now the third highest grosser of the year after Kabir Singh and Uri - The Surgical Strike and the film has good chances of being the highest grosser of the year. The Dusshera holiday period is over now and there will be a drop in collections on Wednesday but the film is already in a strong position with big numbers up on the board.

What was the attack in the second part? Most of the people agree here, Hritik will not get into number game. He goes from Dhoom 2 to Guzaarish or sit idle for two years. With that in my mind I said, let him at least do one commercial film a year.

One does not need to say that for Tiger, as he does only commercial films. He is a competitor among younger generation.

I still don't get it. Anyway I will leave it. I am not interested in fan-hater war, as I can't invest my emotions on these celebrities.

LOL yeah that’s how I read ya as well. But I guess, going by the subsequent reactions, eg thunderlight didn’t comprehend that and read that as a “shade“ to Hrithik thinking you are wholly contributing that mass draw to Tiger and thinking Hrithik can’t bring the numbers anymore. Before ya know it the others piggybacked off his statement and here we are. I did see you calling Hrithik an established superstar on your previous post so I don’t where the Hrithik hater tag came from. 🤷‍♂️

Guys dont turn this into a fan war for no reason.

Tiger and HR are two rare examples of stars secure enough to come together to give us a really good film. Neither of them could put up these numbers solo. In the 200cr range , 2 r Salman films who is the God of masses and the 3rd is Hirani with Sanju .

Tiger has a.huge fanbase in the action genre so it was genius casting .

I dont know why ppl discount hrithik as a star. He is a fabulous actor and has honed his skills through the tough movies he has done.

If you think that now he will just run behind BO he wont. He will carry on experimenting and will choose the right mass movie when it comes along. And that security, that freedom and that range makes him unique and gives him his fanbase.

You are trying to fit a square into a circle by just talking about BO numbers. He is alot more and is absolutely correct to do a film a year as he invests so much into it. No other actor brings so much to the table and that isnt God given. It's a result of hard work. He has a weak body , a stammer and God knows what else but on screen he is a God.

So you cant just measure him by numbers as he doesnt play to that gallery. The fact that he made s30 work speaks for his stardom and talent. And that's what this enigma called hrithik Roshan actually is
