Greetings to all my Rainbow friends on the festive occasion of Durga Ashtami. 🤗Happy first day of Dussehra to Branka , Vimaa, Nado, Padmaja , Madhuri, Abhinav and to all the members of this rainbow. . ❤️🤗

The Navatri 2019 has begun on Sunday, September 29, 2019. As it is popularly known, all the nine days of Navratri are dedicated to nine different form of Goddess Durga. Each of these forms of Goddess Durga is worshipped on the particular day. The eighth day or ashtami of the Navratri or nine days is dedicated to Maa Mahagauri, the eighth avatar of Maa Durga. The legend has it after killing all evils, Maa Durga turned dark. She then took a bath in Mansarovar River in the Himalayas and turned fair again.

Maa Mahagauri, who liberated the world from evil forces, has three eyes and four hands. While her lower right hand holds a trishul, her upper right hand is in the mudra of allaying fear. On the other side, her lower left hand is in a pose of granting boons to her devotees, while she is holding a damaru in upper left hand. Maa Maugauri is usually depicted in a white or green saari and riding a bull.

In the 10-day long Durga Puja festival, Durga Ashtami or Maha Ashtami is one of the most auspicious days. The eighth day of Navratri is known as Maha Ashtami or Durga Ashtami. Goddess Kali had appeared on this day from the forehead of Maa Durga and killed demons who were the associates of Mahishasura, it is said. Maha Ashtami or Durga Ashtami is celebrated with much fervour by many households across the country. On this day, Griha Laxmi puja performs by every housewife's husband to honor his wife for giving meaning to his life, said to be a significant part of this Festival.It is the faith in Maa that brings eternal happiness and success in life…. Surrender yourself to her to experience the magic of her blessings… .😊May this auspicious day bring prosperity, love, and joy to my friends and their families. Happy Maha Ashtami.

All Colours Of The World

Strange is this world inside me

when leaves turn it green

or it gets blond like silk

from children’s hair and birds’ wings.

Strange is this world inside me

when everything turns yellow and becomes rosy.

Beside me, many colours live.

Beside me, the world even turns gray sometimes,

or it gets dark and gloomy.

It’s good because there are also

these nicer colours of mine.

As well as some smiles, sunny and shy.

And the wind as inaudible as breath.

So that, when everything numbs,

and when everything withers,

when the world around me looks somber,

a thousand fireworks of some more colourful

and more beautiful world live inside of me.

I sometimes wish to share

my rosiness with the entire city,

and my white with the yellow grass,

and my yellow with the blue night,

and my blue with the dreamy river…

The only thing I keep is the green

for some eyes that aren’t mine,

but all other eyes and other colours

grow out of them,

have been growing since long time ago.
