It baffles me that Pre and Anu both are supposed to be held at a standard above a normal human being specially when compared to someone who has gone after these two due to no fault of their own and is dictating what they should and shouldn't do after destroying the life they had planned for themselves.

Many still ignore that with holding crucial evidence on an ongoing murder case that happened on your property is a felony and amounts to criminal conspiracy. And taking advantage of the naivety of Pre to use that evidence to make her agree to marriage is brushed under the carpet as if a young girls consent and right to choose a love life for her own is nothing at the face of someone who suddenly deems he wants her as a mother to his child who Pre is totally unaware of....What even man?...

And some are feeling appalled on behalf of this person because after being subjected to live right in front of her ex whom she admittedly love more than her own self and being 7 months pregnant with this said lover she had a weak moment and succumbed to some emotional comfort from him?

Why such a double standard? Pre's this emotional weak moment is unacceptable but some are so getting offended on behalf of Bajaj with his criminal actions and now self admitted attempted murder. Pre did not want this marriage ever and she reiterated why she married Bajaj after this recent "accident" itself. The girl was crying through out all those ceremonies during that marriage and on the other side two sets of families were having an emotional breakdown and we witnessed rejoice at the forum that this marriage is taking place. Women's rights, empowerment and pride and justice telene gaye kia thub?

If it pleases consider her grey na...Subkutch maaf heyna thab? Tho ek "grey" character another "grey" character ko doka dey rahahey...Why does Bajaj deserve a paragon of virtue in Pre?

Thanks for the beautiful post 🤗

I too have my issues but yes I agree that we're unable to see her pain and suffering and that probably reflects the ignorance of her character from the writers end. While they could have made her the best FL but just bcoz of their poor writing she is turned into a punching bag for everyone. Her biggest sacrifice on her part went waste and nobody is able to connect with her.

Hope they start to think about her character now.

Very well articulated post...👏👏👏

You have said everything I have been thinking.

Even with everything thrown her way she had been nothing but kind and caring towards everyone.

If people misunderstood her and assumed something that's not there then that's their problem.

Prerna is always what she is from beginning only.

Just her choices were hard to accept sometimes but still understandable.

Hope I just want to say thank you just for the words she is a woman and human too ❤️

And Prerna Sharma is the most misunderstood character of this show, neither couple stans nor her own fans understand her. In fact Prerna is the most human FL in recent times who isn't pseudo feminist and fake strong characters who behaves super humans.

Thank you for this post.

Today morning I argued similar way with friend about this topic. Your topic is really pleasant surprise.

I am so tired of hearing ping pong, pendulum etc. No one wants to think from prerna's point of view. Anurag fans bash prerna for belong loyal to her husband n taking good care of him.n his family. Bajaj fans accuse her for having feeling for anurag. Ppl wants sati savitri. But no one thinks from prerna's angle. How this girl is going through 24 x7. I must say society hypocrite at it's best..

Once again thanks for your post.🤗

I understand your POV, but Reducing this to a Woman sympathy card is also a hard sell.

I think Prerna gets so much flak because she is an impossible character to empathize with. Also, Prerna as a character has been the least developed of the main three, and mostly there is no solid reasoning behind her actions, which makes her hard to understand. She has a god complex, her need to make decisions for herself and others in the process without consulting anyone or explaining herself, or without any real need to, is hard to sympathize with.

Right from day 1, Prernas actions have been on shaky ground. She hid the truth about Sharma Nowas and wanted to marry Naveen for it. But frankly speaking, it wasn’t her call to make, since the house wasn’t even hers! It was her parents and she should have said the truth. Even with mr. Bajaj, she should told someone the truth, ideally Basus and let Mohini, the mother or someone else decide what is to be done. SHE took it upon herself to take the deal marriage. Since then, mr. Bajaj has actually helped her, and defended her, but we don’t see any development of her making Progress in her marriage. Then, now, she back tracks to romance her ex lover, even to whom she hasn’t said anything about her child.

Can you see where I am going with this, and potentially why a certain section of the forum members and audience find her an epically bewildering character?

I remember a romance novelist saying that in a romance novel, if the female lead isn’t likeable, people find it hard to finish the book. I think it’s the same here, P is just an unlikeable person, maybe because the creatives didn’t understand or didn’t want to repeat the Prerna from Season 1. But a poorly written female lead has never worked on ITV, and the ratings here speak for itself(although that’s not the ONLY cause)

With Bajaj, you know his reasons, part of his back story, so there is a correlation to what he does and why he does it.

With Anurag too, there is character development, in this track specially, he talks to Anupam, his dad, mom, Shivani, so whilst you may not agree or may you do agree with his actions, you can see a the thread of reasoning.

Feel mujhe bhi aata if she had a better arc, better graph. Her inconsistency troubles me .

Log kehte hai. Think a lot before u do. There is no point thinking after the deed is done .

She cannot control her emotions but she can control her actions .

There is another saying. U may be the best person underneath but its what you do that defines you.

I have better FL in other shows who I can take inspiration .

Prerna kisi angle se role model to hai hi nahi. Kam se kam ye season ki to nahi. Last season , prerna was a better character, a far better portrayal of a woman

She cld have dumped baja easily when he revealed ant kuki. I supported prerna then cos Bajaj didnt tell her abt kuki. But she was ok with that.

VERY TRUE @ Bold. Coz, romances are generally from the point for women (can be for men too, but generally), so for the males to be well developed, their love for the girl has to be justified and she has to match upto them! Warna toh pheeka.

Thanks Hope... For summing it up🤗

Everytime u see her, its visible tht she is simply suffocating under this pressure of idealism and expectations.

She is not a robot who runs on programmes. If tht was the case... We cud hv uninstalled programme basu to fit in or make space for programme bajaj. Tht wud hv hurt her less too. But unfortunately emotions dont work like tht. And she is a woman too. A human by race. Some due respect and a bit of sympathy if not empathy while we deal with her is not going to harm anyone.
