Always 🤣 I've been in such situations before! IDK this is my first time reading fantasy. My friend suggested me and by her posts IK that there's gonna be a couple switch. There are many things that I find unrealistic.😳 Maybe this is how a fantasy book rolls. 🤔 If I read another fantasy book, maybe I could judge the story here. Are you a fan?😆

Hahaha noooo this book was so meh. I didn't like it personally. The first book was pretty bad. I tried reading second but gave up halfway through lol But it was better, more interesting, than the first one for sure. There's another one, I wouldn't suggest you read, Red Queen. It's very popular but I don't see what's there to like, it's a mix of every fantasy book, no big originality.

Have you read The Raven Boys? That's a good fantasy too lol. These are more Young adult fantasy though imo

I read red queen long ago. It was okayish. Nothing great. Glad to see that im not the only one who gave up A court of thorns and roses after the first book. I didnt like the main characters. They were boring. I found the Trylle series by Amanda Hocking better than this.

All I can say from here is that I am not really a fantasy (book) reader 😳 IDK I might give other books a try after getting into my old self for a bit... like a book or two would help me I guess. I started the second book yesterday. I'll check out the books. Is there any stand-alone fantasy novels?

Currently reading: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

I can understand that :) It's not easy to step out of your preferred genre and try other ones. It's harder if you pick the wrong in your first trial 😆

My same thoughts about Red Queen. Nothing majorly great about that one. I thought i was reading Hunger Games initially lol

Haven't tried the Trylle series. Will look into it 😃
