I hope asa is made more jealous so she can come forth wt her feelings. She is in complete denial . Girish oak has been fantastic wt his expressions.

There are old episodes of yeh jo hai zindagi on youtube nivedita joshi looks so young n pretty n her cheeks look the same n she marries raja in that hilarious show. Luved shafi inamdar , swaroop sampat , rakesh bedi satish shah n their nosy bengali neighbours. 🤩

Yeh jo hai zindagi was an out and out sitcom with absolutely no rona dhona or emotional atyachar (Dekh Bhai Dekh was another such classic sitcom). They rarely make comedies like that anymore.

The highlight of course was Shafi Inamdar and his perfect timing. Satish Shah was a treat and we used to eagerly wait to see what role he put on in every episode. Most memorable for me was his role of a Sindhi and his famous dialogue "thirty year ka experience"

Nivedita had a small role and was a bit raw.

Though AS is good in patches, it would have been very refreshing if it had been an out and out comedy instead of mixing it with emotions and kat-karastan tracks. The topic of AS is such that it could have been nicely converted into a short and sweet all out comedy.

But I doubt if any channel will take up a full fledged comedy serial in these days of TRPs which require loud drama and high voltage clashes.

In addition to YJHZ and Dekh Bhai Dekh, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai was my favourite lately...
