Maybe treating women like this is realistic in India!

I am truly sick of this! Even in the supposed realistic KHKT already we have seen many instances of Rohit and the Sippys insulting or being rude to or selfish towards Sonakshi and she still putting up with it or forgiving and helping them inspite of it. In the case of the Pooja dress thing - I think it’s fair that she did because Pari caused pooja to be the victim, rather than herself.... but now this?!?!

After this if Sona just keeps talking to Rohit and goes begging to make him listen to reason or forgives the sippys easily then I will really start believing that these Indian serials are a true reflection of what happens. That in reality this is all a woman can aspire to - that a man would deign to love her at his choice and to the extent he wants to and when he wants to..,.

I am afraid this is a man-woman thing, not an Indian man-woman thing.

Even the highly educated independent powerful Hillary Clinton accepted & forgave Bill Clinton his embarrassing adultery which was played out in front of the whole world.

Fair comment though the fact that you don’t see it promulgated so easily in non-Indian TV series, makes me think this is more prevalent in certain countries. And I am truly sick of seeing it on ITV!

Whatever show it might be ITV or non ITV,people know the line difference between real n reel...in todays generation no one is like ITV FL who keeps on bearing everything, solving all the problems around her and crying 24×7 and no one is like ML who are just releasing their frustration on lovers or wifes and dumb,immature....TV is just for entertainment,if we like a particular character more we expect them to match our thinking ,if they do something unexpected we think they r not one we love before....same happening in KHKT

Well, that's generalising.

This kind of behaviour/attitude is pertinent in many countries, not just India.

And unfortunately, most of the times women accept this "safety valve" kind of role.

From what I have seen in forums for tv shows from other countries it’s worldwide problem.

People, especially the female audience, expect this dynamic and the female lead gets all the flak from them if she doesn’t accept and understand tantrums of the male lead.

I have literally had this conversation with American women, albeit older, that it’s a man’s world out there and if she doesn’t defer to his needs he will leave her. Ie no man will put up with a woman with a spine. It’s bs but it’s what these older and some younger generation women are taught.

You see this is shows more often where middle-aged housewives make up the majority of the ratings audience because that’s what appeals to them. The love the idea of the transformative power of love. Or the good girl reforms the bad boy trope.

Ohoo. Madam. Please control. You need not bring in the whole country for a freaking fictional show.

You are absolutely welcome to stop watching ITV

Hush! Viewers are being called hyper on this forum now coz we refuse to lap up what writers are serving us in terms of Rohit's characterization.

Apparently, some people are scared that poor Rohit will now have to spend inordinate amounts of time manaoing Sona and apologizing to her. Poor guy did no wrong it seems.

And ya, if you criticize Rohit, you are a Sonakshi fan. Coz it cannot be any other way. You cannot dislike both characters🤣. If only people knew the amount of flak Sonakshi's character draws on this forum, humne kitna criticize kiya hai usko, for her stupidity.🤣

It’s proves that Indian tv should stop showing regressive stuff.

Thanks for telling something I already knew - that I have freedoms of choice over what u watch ... and also over what I comment.
