why do you care so much. just be proud, we have a great nation šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜Š

I would rather focus on good things and ignore the rest.

I have not watched the video, but India is indeed a vast and very diverse country. Culture, history, society, everything in India is complex and has evolved over the centuries to where it is today. No film, book, or media of any form can capture the beauty and complexity that is the whole of India. They can shed light only on one tiny sliver of the whole.

Despite having been born and raised in India, I knew only the parts where my friends and family were. It was only after coming to the United States that I got an opportunity to meet Indians from all over and learned how everyone's experience and perception of India is so different.

India also has its pros and cons. There are slums, poverty, rape, misogyny. But there is also wealth, technology, innovation, and leaders in all walks of life making India and the world better.

That being said every country has its pros and cons. Every country is beautiful and ugly in its own way. Even a tiny country like Liechtenstein cannot be captured in any medium. And even when you travel or spend a semester abroad - you cannot possibly comprehend the whole gamut of emotions and sensory experiences of someone living there for their whole life or learn to love it as they do.

So take pride in your country. Let your chest swell recollecting its greatness and accomplishments. But leave a little room for humility and empathy to understand that someone feels the exact same way about their country. After all, whether its a massive mansion or a tiny hut - its home, and home is where the heart is. Except of course you love a London Boy.
