Why would someone’s character be BUTCHERED?

Characters are characters and they have an arc, good, bad, grey, faulty etc doesn’t matter. BUTCHERING seems like writers have killed the character. A character BUILD up is a right word. Why do we think Anurag has been BUTCHERED? He has a journey and that’s a part of his story and character evolvement.

I see this thing in Hindi TV show watchers only. We use the word BUTCHERING too often. What does that even mean?

I love Anurag and his journey. That makes him HUMAN to me. There comes a point in the life of even the most self-righteous person when he succumbs to weaknesses. Why can't we handle and accept that? Today, Parth was phenomenal in his scenes with Anupam. The desperation and Vulnerability were so well portrayed.

They say a man seeking revenge is the most vacant one! That happens with most of us who pursue wronging the one who has WRONGED us.

There's so much more to Anurag than being this WHITE doe-eyed boy. At least, now he is not Unidimensional to me.

My interest is piqued now. What makes a man so righteous to take a wrong path?

This is a beautiful post, well penned and gave me a lot to ponder over.

I think when people say this particular character is butchered, what they mean is , that the writing is inconsistent and doesn't go by the character arc.

For example, if Prerna tomorrow suddenly turns bad/wicked/selfish then we would say she has got butchered because her character arc is of someone selfless and good.

I only said since Anurag is culprit, why duffer Bajaj is in jail and sitting like a petulant kid?

Yar Moni, CVS changed Both Anu and Bajaj's character😆

Anyways acc to storyline I think , Bajaj did the accident. He saw Anurag, anger mein speed increase hua, Anu came in front of vehicle, Bajaj couldn't apply break , anu injured, Bajaj shocked and froze. When he came to his senses, he ran away. Then 15 minutes baad vaapis aaya.

he is in jail cos he needs to proof to his wife that kisi bure insaan ka khoon kukku ke rago pe nayi hai .. it is like agni pariksha for bajaj to earn the trust of prerna.

Its better that any character isn't unidimensional. I want anurag to realize his mistake and apologize to his family ,specially his mom.

Nautanki baaz dono..Mr bajaj and mr basu 🤣 game of who can bewakoof banao prerna more.

I have a special request for everyone here.

Already Suta is going through a lot to give us updates every day. We all already know how difficult it is for anyone in this present condition of the show to do that.

Atleast don't give her extra trouble by breaking the IF rules and daily someone or other she has to again quote and remind that member about the new rules of IF.

Please remember this everyone from tomorrow and instead of making her job tough, make it easier.
