It beats every, i mean every abir rajvaansh special till date.even my mishbir shipper mind is giving a bow to this father-boyfreind scene. how can someone not love this guy?????

"Maine usse bigadnaa chahunga " this one line will stay with me forever.I'm not kidding.

Writers called it upon themselves. Who knows how much they would be able to handle their own character! They have set the bar way too high.

And again with a sign, abir is fictional character only.

I watched the episode a couple of times as well only for that particular scene. Abir was so damn good. The way he approached the whole confrontation was so admirable. Not once did he look unsure or scared. He knew what he was saying and how to put his point across. All the while, remaining respectful.

There really was no way any father would refuse to give him his blessings after hearing what he had to say. Definitely best father-boyfriend scene ever on ITV

@Bold - This line basically made me actually squeal so loud my mom wanted to know what got me so excited😆 I would have written an appreciation post for yesterday's episode even if there wasn't anything else show. Just for this one line. It kinda sealed the deal for me. The way he has completely understood Mishti made me want to get up, get into the screen and hug the heck out of him. I was so completely proud and happy to hear him say it. Like you I will forever remember this line of his. My favorite Mishbir one liner so far for sure!❤️

I swear it is so scary how perfect Abir is. It makes it so much more difficult for the writers to ensure they never mess with his characterization. They really did bring this on themselves. Now that they've set the bar so high, they have the responsibility to ensure he stays there. Always. I am sincerely praying that they can manage to do it for a long long time from now. I really hope they do.

@Red - I feel you! 😆 Yes it is such a shame isn't it? If only!😆

@bold. hain na?

U know i loved abir's analysis about mishti always.. But,there was always a catch.

When he said, main sahi karna chahta hoon, mishti sahi karti hain.i was lil skeptical.really?other than finding his dad,he was doing all sort of right works too.And by then, mishti was not someone too sorted specially the way she bear all kuhu/jas/varsa tantrums most of the time.

When he repriminded her for calling herself a bojh,i was like yeah,u can get it.She is always saying how her parents left her & they took her in.

When he said, tum thoda galti kya karo.i was not convinced even then.I mean come on.Mishti do a lot of mistakes too with her confusion and over thinking ability which was proved later on kuku marriage track.

But with this line,he hooked me in along with bade papa and bade ma.He seriously knows his girl so damn well. He just bawled me over with the fact how well he knew mishti. All those times, he ranted about mishti, friday he gave the final verdict. That yeah,Mishti is intelligent but her intellectuals fail when it comes to family. And all become obligation.

He just wanted to change the fact.

Oh,and how much i love him for that.

(I love mishti too.i love the dare devil, caring, bespectacled, god dhana breaker girl.its just i failed to see mish through abir's eyes all those days)

yes abir is simply the best and so r the other characters like bp,bm and of course mishti..we r really lucky to be a part of a fandom of such beautiful characters ❤️

Thank you so much! You are as usual so kind with your words as well! 🤗

I think everyone will agree on the fact that Abir, Mishti ,BP and BM are the best characters on the show without any doubt. Jugnu deserves a special mention as well😆

I'm glad Indian TV has such characters who inspire us amongst the infinite regressive sickening ones. They are truly a blessing for ITV. I'm glad I get to enjoy their journey and be inspired by them as well. I sincerely hope they continue to remain as amazing as they are right now for a really long time.

I just love this post🤗 Even for me Mishbir are setting goals that will be hard to top for any other leads. What I loved about the convo was how sincere Abir was. Not once did he make tall claims or false promises or praise Mishti's beauty rather he admitted that his promises were fallible. He admitted that he might never be able to shower Mish with the same level of love as BM and BP but at least he will try to make her happy. That he is willing to stand with her not because she needs someone to fight her battles for her but because she needs someone who is just their for her. That he wants to spoil their otherwise responsibly daughter who stopped wishing for things after the universe screwed her over. He wants her to be a little more demanding he wants her to chose herself. He wants her to learn the true meaning of love. He wants to show her that for someone she is enough that for someone she is worth staying for. That not everyone in this world will abandon. In a way he reassures BP that sir I know your daughter the whole of her and I am so deeply and irrevocably in love with her that I will make sure that she falls in love with herself by letting go of her insecurities.

What I loved about BP was how he said that he doesn't give damn about what other people say but he very much cares about what Abir and Mish have to say. The best part was that in spite of Varsha and co he still gave Abir the chance to explain himself and not only that when all was said and done he asked his daughter for her decision in stead of forcing a decision on her.

What I loved about Mishti is how she didn't feel the need to use words as Abir had done all the talking for both of them but how she silently just nodded her head in agreement as if she was still in daze and in awe of the love Abir has for her. She even went on to say sorry to BP because she knew he was disappointed that she didn't tell him earlier.

What I loved about BM is that how easily she accepted Abir to be one of her own kids. How she just naturally gave him something he desired the most not just Mish but a Maa who loves him unconditionally.

The acting, the writing , the concept everything just everything was wonderful in this whole episode.

P.S please keep up this habit if you can of posting your thoughts because I love reading them.

What I love about your reply is how you didn't just reply on what my post was about but shared everything you felt when you watched that brilliantly executed sequence.❤️ You managed to summarize everything that I felt for each of those characters during that sequence. When you break it down to the simplest form, you will notice that the main reason why the scene stood out and inspired us as much as it did was merely due to the fact that all 4 of them played their part in the most ideal and rational way. Meaning it was what was expected of those characters and they simply just delivered it. Now by saying that I don't mean to take away the prominence of what happened or the greatness of each of these characters, I only want to point out that as long as the makers continue to understand their characters and remain honest to their characterization, we will continue to be inspired by everything they stand for.

So for me during that scene all 4 characters behaved the way I expected them to but I was pleasantly surprised by Abir for especially one single dialogue of his. Did I expect him to stand by his relationship and convince BP? Of course. But that one particular dialogue of his made me really want to stand up & hug the heck out of him.

I knew Abir understood Mishti like no one else did but I did not expect him to actually point it out so earlyfor her own family to see. I was more impressed with the way he put that point across. He did not accuse them or try to diarespect/demean what they had done for her, in the slightest but only made them understand what his love has to offer or rather add to what she already had.

That was so so beautiful and of course it triggered this post of mine. I couldn't get over it then, still not over it now. In fact, I don't think any proposal direct/indirect has ever been as beautiful as this one was on Indian TV ever. For me, this is the new standard. Every other proposal will have to compete with this one now.

Thank you so much Zara!🤗 For always leaving me such thoughtful and amazing comments to read and reply to. The fact that you enjoy reading what I have to say about the episodes and sequences makes me really glad that I share them. Although work rarely leaves me some 'me-time', I tend to steal some when I am especially inspired by a particular sequence or character. So I hope I do get way more opportunities to be inspired ,write and discuss them with all of you.

Loads of love,

Geetha

You know I love love how you pointed these small but very significant yet completely ignored lines of Abir in different contexts. I love you for this reply!🤗

Like you when I heard him say those when he did, I did go "Yes boy! You tell her Abir. Tell her that she's an idiot for thinking so lowly of herself"😆 And the "tum thoda galti kya karo" I think I was thinking along the same lines. At that particular context, you don't really tend to over think them or analyse where they were coming from. So you listen and you think they are cute but you don't necessarily think they are that deep. But then he goes bam! Lays his heart out like that not just in front of her but for us and her own family to see and then it hits us! OMG! This boy has known her, has always understood her as much as we have. There goes your heart!

This is EXACTLY why this particular sequence was so huge for me and for every other person who has always admired Abir's love for Mishti. That scene and sequence proved the fact without any doubts that Abir does indeed understand and adores Mishti like no one else, not even her own parents. And that's why Abir will remain the standard for all Boyfriends in the world from now.

It's funny how you mention Mishti in the end. I have always seen Mishti for who she is. For everything she is and how she needs someone to spoil her and assure her that there was no reason for her to be afraid of being abandoned again. I sincerely wished Abir saw it too. The issues that were so deeply rooted in her heart and the fact that they had changed her so much. I wished for it and believed that Abir was aware of them as well to some extent if not completely since he isn't familiar with Mishti the way we audience are. So when he actually proved me wrong and said every thing I have always wanted him to know and say, I was seriously celebrating. I could throw a party, I was that ecstatic over what really transpired on the screen that day. This scene, this sequence will always be special! I will never forget what Abir did on Friday night! ❤️

PS: I followed you on Twitter!!

I'm so sorry the reply is coming so late Namz! Apologies!🤗

This post is not really my favorite based on how messed up the tenses and sentences are but it was something I wrote as soon as I finished watching that episode. The scene and Abir's love for Mishti was so overwhelming that I had to pen something down. It didn't turn out as nice as I'd have liked it to be but I am so happy to read you guys leaving me such nice comments on it and sharing your feelings about the episode. Thank you!🤗

I followed you back on twitter. By the way, I did get a notification of a Namz following me on Twitter and I honestly wondered if it was you. Haha, not that many Namzys around who are in love with Mishbir huh? More Mishbir goodness on my timeline!❤️

I used to be very active on Twitter during Chotu Mishti days. We were the trouble makers on Twitter. That whole gang isn't active anymore after they ruined Kaira so now I usually don't even go there anymore unless it's to check on something.

I don't quite like the platform as I used to. But Mishbir AT and IF thank fully are not toxic at all. All the members respect each other and seem to be really mature over all. It's satisfying to discuss a topic here unlike the madness that I see on Twitter. Not saying every one out there is immature. Just like the place here much better is all.
